cody and i will be taking pictures waaaaaaay before the actual wedding. i'm not going to have "Bridal" portraits. we are going to have wedding portraits of him and me together. Yeah, that means he's gonna see my dress before the wedding. No, we don't care.
actually he may have to help me tie it on!

K, so I did some serious shopping today
A couple of pairs of shoes, 3 pairs of jeans (hey, when I can find ones I like, I don't hesitate to buy), a couple of work jackets, several cute work shirts, some even cuter weekend shirts, a couple of work skirts, some sexy pjs (those are for the spouse, not so much for me), and finally the most awesome purse ever.
Best day ever. But yeah, so I'm tired now. <--- first world problem 11/14/2009 6:44:38 PM |

but do you think it would go well with shoes like the Zigi Soho Oak Suede Boots in brown, I can't seem to find a pic I can post since DSW only does adobe flash, or should I only stick to flats?

what is that bra place that everyone on here likes (not VS)? figleaves?
is it a good place to find odd bra sizes?
what i don't get is if a 32C is supposedly the same as a 34B, why is the first one WAY more comfortable (but also wayyyy harder to find)?
ugh bras. 11/15/2009 9:25:01 PM |

this year, i'm all about a cute winter hat. i really like the cloche hats that have come back into style. forever 21 had some cute ones online, but when i looked in the store, i couldn't find it. i bought this really cute one from urban outfitters, and i plan on wearing it with a bright red coat, a black peacoat, and my hounds-tooth coat. ok, i couldn't post the picture in here, but there's the link to the urban outfitters cloche hat (got the gray one):

The whole "its the same" with the bra size is not true (but sure helps sales when they don't have your size in stock). They are about the same amount of mass- but someone that is 32 inches around has more in the actual front than someone that is 34 inches around. A too big band will ride up and rub.
Figleaves is amazing. Try there... but isn't a 32C relatively (like VS and Fredericks at least) common? 11/15/2009 10:26:39 PM |
khcadwal All American 35165 Posts user info edit post |
noooo. well not that i've been able to find anyway.
they try and make you get a 34B, which i have, but they don't fit as well (like you said the too big of a band rides up)
maybe i can order them on the VS website i guess!! they like never have them in the stores, though. i will search their website!

^^^yeah I'll probably use it for work/school. if I'm going to be out all day it's nice to have a big bag that I can put all my stuff in, plus a change of clothes, snacks, and anything else I might need
kate spade just had a sample sale with a bunch of amazing stuff for 50-80% off, but there's still some other good deals on the website: http://www.katespade.com/category/index.jsp?categoryId=1872494

i'm going to look! that looks like a good school bag
on second thought maybe 32C IS common and that is why they're never in stores? i can just NEVER find them in stores and i just looked at VS website and they do have 2/$40 deals right now and it says 32C is in stock. so if i order one i already have then i know it will fit. but if i wanna switch styles i just wish i could try it on! 11/15/2009 10:38:14 PM |

Anyone have experience with Seasonale/ique? I think I'm either going with one of those or back to Nuvaring ... I really want to try one of the extended cycle pills, but I used my normal pills to skip a period once a few years ago and I felt like I was having uber-PMS for the entirety of the next month, and that is not something I would like to repeat. 11/16/2009 8:47:33 PM |

^i am actually using the regular pills (not something like Seasonale) in order to only have periods several times a year. i tried it once before, and i had some breakthrough bleeding, so I thought it was bad and stopped. however, my gyno told me that it is very normal to have this, esp. in the beginning...so now, i'm tryin it with a different pill though. i dont feel like i had PMS really bad or anything...i just always get bloated & feel more emotional sometimes. 11/17/2009 4:28:34 PM |

I have ordered from them, I returned all but one of them (the red bow dress)
I used the measurements but the clothes tend to just fit weird ... it's disappointing! they look so good on line but once I try it on it's not quite right. I'm an easy size and department store clothes usually fit great so it's confusing.
the back ... although my bows don't look nearly as good!!

ULTA is having some good deals for holiday shopping if anyone's interested.. They have a deal right now where if you buy $30+ worth of perfume you get these nice hurricane candle holders for free (I got some for my mom and they're good quality.. one had a tiny chip on the base, but oh well, they're free - and heavy!!):
You get a big one and a little one. The smaller one is close to a foot high I think and the bigger one is a few inches taller.
And they have a lot of deals on make-up and those "blockbusters" so it's worth looking..

Samwise16, yeah, you are soo right about the deals @ Ulta. I was in there yesterday and they have some amazing makeup kits, especially the eye shadow kits by the Ulta store brand (i <3 their eyeshadows!), and by Urban Decay. I am also a fan of the face kit that they have by Lorac for only $30! 11/23/2009 3:41:09 PM |

Anyone tried it? I'm in if someone wants an invite. Sizes 0-10, fees from $50-200. You get to pick from two different sizes. They give you a pre-packaged return packaging to just drop in the mailbox afterwards. Can rent for four days or eight days (extra fee for eight days). Let's see if I can link some cute items (or, at least things I thought were cute).

^I like Indigo the Salon, but they may be more on the expensive side. But their service is next to none. I've been getting my hair cut there for about 10 years now. They also do massages/facials/nails/etc. For the salon: http://www.ndgo.com/ For the spa: http://www.indigenousspa.com/documents/36.html
Chakras is downtown and more expensive. I think it just depends on your price range and what you are hoping to encompass.

xmas present for my MIL: mani/pedi for her and her mother.
She is a pathological packrat, so consumables only. She's engaged to a PHENOMONAL cook who actually does cook for her and pamper her that way, and she's very picky and irritated by most scents, so things like food and toiletries/candles are out.
The only way to get her to use something like a spa gift cert is to make it a double - a gift for her mom AND her. She won't go, but she will take her mother. So upper end salons are really not something I want to pay for, as simply getting out of the house is a serious upgrade in ambiance. But I don't want a cheap (asian?) place where the top coat has flecks of other people's nail polish in it (yes, I've had that happen to me ). I'm thinking somewhere analogous to genspa.com
I'll look into tohse places you've listed. Thanks!
^^that's actually going to be perfect!
