hahaha I pissed off some n00bs on Favela last night by running around knifing people. Homeboy was screaming at me over the mic after the game and I didn't even have my mic plugged in. I got the same guy three times in a row then my harrier and pavelow hit him.

now i am running into whole team with nothing but one man army and 6 noob tubing classes....

anyhow a friend was talking about this site:

i'm on a gamebattles team. it's fun if you create matches that ban all the cheap stuff.

but yea the launchers should be re-balanced. but then all the crappy people that can't aim a gun wouldn't be able to get kills and they'd quit playing. so don't count on it.

I called this a couple months after my friend got the game and people had time to get the noob tube and all those stupid killstreaks. Getting nuked every tenth game and noobtubed and having entire teams camp isn't fun.

There are the rules for GB and MW2. GB and the MLG variant are kinda wonky and sometimes a pain in the ass. I am not a fan of the MLG variant set of rules. GB isn't too bad. The worst are rules like Radar Always On or No Riot Shields. Some teams are dicks about things and will report the match as a win for them even if you won. So you have to record the match/score to prove yourself every time. Sometimes setting up the match and reporting the outcome can be a bigger pain in the ass then the actual playing of the match.


I think you guys should give it a try. Most of the teams out there aren't too bad, but there are always the 12 years old and their teams that will screw you over in high pitched chipmunk voices the first chance they get.

MS points can NOT be transferred.
btw, they finally fixed the pricing for points. You can now buy them in increments of 400 and 800 now (instead of the 500 and 1000 that it was before).

I played on gamebattles for yeaaaaaars during the SOCOM era. hell I played on SOCOMbattles before it was changed to gamebattles and put like 100 different games on there. he then sold it for over a million in cash to MLG.. ever since then, it's become a major shitfest. so here's my 2 cents:

fuck it. it's not fun at all. people will cheat to get their GB xp up in every way you can imagine. luckily every clan i was in during socom 1/2/3 had someone recording and taking pictures so i didnt have to do it but it was such a hassle trying to get matches set up. game notes are annoying. i can't even remember how many times i've had to contact admins/refs of gamebattles to report a team cheating/leaving early/not reporting.

the actual gameplay is boring as fuck during matches too. i understand the appeal of banning certain weapons/game modes but it's not worth it. i'm sure there are a lot of clans that play for the hell of it but 90% camp their asses off and would gladly win a team deathmatch with a score of 1000-900 if it put a W on their GB account.

/end rant about how much i hate GB. but with that said, if someone else actually set up matches/recorded/took pictures, i would probably play. competitive gaming can become extremely nerdy, but it's pretty damn fun if it's not full of bullshit.

yea i've played about 20-30 matches with my team and we've encountered a couple of assholes. we do take pictures of the score after each match, but nobody has a cap card so we can't really prove anything.

last match we played was like a month and a half ago though... encountered a team that really just made us not want to play GB anymore. i rather just kick a random team's ass than the competitive stuff.

wow... that seems like just trading one annoyance for another. I don't know about you guys, but I just want to SPITF, and if a team is n00b tubing I just strategize in order to counter it or just lob n00b tubes back at them. I really haven't noticed it that much, maybe a lobby here or there, but I'm still doing well consistently and having fun, so I personally don't see a need to change.

i refuse to camp like a bitch

i've probably gone between 15 and 19 kills though without dying. just with a lot of scavenging, running and ducking around corners and shit.

i've never enabled nuke - i don't even want to.

i usually get wreckless after i call my harriers out since that's my last kill streak and i'd rather die and get another care package and predator missile than try hard to stay alive.

I'll help build more for it if we're going to be able to get some source code editing going. If I host it I can make some user accounts for whoever else needs access. FWIW, I've got all the Xbox gamertags + TWW usernames/IDs in a database table, so whoever else posts their gamertag let me know. We can do tons of mess programmatically. The page I've already built allows you to click names to see TWW profiles, Gamercards on xbox.com and add friends.
