Since when did UNC become one of the 4 biggest football fanbase school. Is that the same reasoning as the NCAA is only investigating us because we are relavant?

Man they are delusional. I will give them basketball, but come on nobody at UNC really cares about football.

my only critique of the little girl and the fire photo is that she shouldn't have an NCSU tatto on her face..

she needs either a "greedy" symbol or "$$$" or "arrogance" or "NCAA".

actually if she's an observer then its spot on however, it looks like she's the one that started the fire, hence. i know, im being too analytical.

My memory was Koren getting the hooked up truck AFTER the bowl game and signing with an agent, as most of the football players heading into the NFL do.

Philip on the other hand drove his mid 90s taurus to Chargers minicamp.

Regardless it isn't unusual for guys with high pro earning potential to get favorable car loans, see Michael Jordan Nissan.

I personally sat in an S500 in K-Rob's possession in the late spring of whatever his last year was. I have no idea if he owned it or not. Did he also have an Escamalade?

^^^^ That S500 he had was tricked out... dual video screens in the back seats (and this was back when those were still pretty uncommon), banging stereo system with at least two 15's and a huge amp, don't recall what else. He rolled up with it for the Bass Wars in between Turlington and Alexander and blew everybody else away except for this one good-ole-boy in a beatup Toyota pickup who put out more bass than I've ever heard in my life. Totally brown-noted the whole crowd.

edit: hypothetical situation where unc gets the death penalty and can't field a team for a number of seasons. does that mean no acc championship game?

I don't think they can get the death penalty because this is their "first violation." And its "Carolina."

However, they have a mother f'n ton of violations.

Multiple agent violations.
Academic Violations
goat violations
Loss of Institutional control violations
pig violations
and a ton of other gigantic question marks

I can guarantee that they will lose some post seasons. Other than that, who flippin knows.

I don't want them to get the death penalty I'd much rather them just suck massive dick for the decade so we can do something silly like win ten straight.

The game this year is huge if we can beat them we have a chance at compiling a massive win streak against them.

Remember when they used to go 1-10 when we were growing up? That's what we want

I think you'd be hard pressed to find many State fans who want UNC to get the death penalty. There'd be no joy in not being able to play them at all because of this mess. Personally I'd just like to see their program humbled, not destroyed.

Still, it's a good hypothetical question, if 1 team in a 12 team conference gets the death penalty is that conference forbidden from having a title game?

I doubt it

SMU only missed one full season

Championship games are planned too far in advance to be canceled less than 12 months out

^ what i like is how all ESPN-affiliated outlets have had "Viper" on their show to defend himself and they all "vouch" for him. hopefully most people will be able to see thru that.

the Mike and Mike show was horrible on this point, should have all recused themselves.

he's directly admitted to allowing himself to get used etc. and his explanation makes no sense.

Also, when people go on and start denying stuff, i recall Robert Quinn during the WRAL interview when he flat-out denied he was "involved in the agent thing..." righttttt. People will lie, sell out their mom, whatever to save their ass.

I'd rather seem them go 0-12 every year. Losing by no more than 2 or 3 points every game, some in overtime. Maybe even lose one game with a final score of 0 - 2.

from Kiper's wikipedia page, made me lol:

Quote :
"Bill Tobin, then the Colts' director of football operations, stated "Who in the hell is Mel Kiper, anyway? To my knowledge, he's never put on a jockstrap, he's never been a player, and all of a sudden he's an expert. He's never been a scout. He's never been an administrator. Mel has no more credibility to do what he's doing than my neighbor. And my neighbor is a postman who doesn't even have season tickets."[4]"

If you look at the mock drafts, it becomes pretty obvious who Wichard, Blake and Austin were targeting. Dareus and AJ Green and maybe ol'Marv himself, along with Quinn were going to potential lottery picks. Would made Gary some nice bank and given Blake some more "walking around money"

Great article:

http://msn.foxsports.com/collegefootball/story/NCAA-punishments-scandal-North-Carolina-football-team

Quote :
"UNC coach Butch Davis called them “individuals” in his press conference the other day. Of course he did. But he also referred to them as “kids.” Well? Then who is the grown up here?

I’m sick of schools trying to absolve themselves, trying to say the way they do business is fine, everything is cool, it was just a bad apple, or a few of them. But you know what? If you’ve got 13 bad apples – 13 Tar Heels missed the season opener – your problem isn’t agents."

Quote :
"Davis said, “I’m also very sad and disappointed that these individuals made these extraordinarily poor choices.”

Yeah. You know what else was a poor choice? Employing an associate head coach who is alleged to have worked for an agent.

Yeah. That might not have been the best move."

I'd like to see them go 4-8. Win every OOC game, and then get into ACC play and absolutely shit bricks against everyone, especially State and Duke.

haha, yea, just so that they can't drag down the ACC's OOC rep. We don't want them losing to JMU or McNeese State (ok maybe we do, but...).

I wish they'd go 0-12 and lose all on hail mary's, when they were up by 5pts seconds before.

I think they should have to put "the carolina way" on their uniforms somewhere, so that people can feel the seething hatred we experience when we see it and just demolish unc player after unc player.
