I mean...other than Lee in the second half and Warren in the last 5 minutes...the whole team played like shit. I call bullshit on "the one thing a coach can control is the intensity of his team" mantra that Seth G said during halftime. You're retarded if you don't think Gott tried to get the team fired up...they just acted and played like little bitches for the majority of the game.

He might need to scale back some of Washington's confidence though. That guy was grippin and rippin it out there.

Everyone but Dez panicked in the first half when nothing was going in. They were too scared to make a mistake so they did nothing. Carolina's defense was really good too (gotta give them credit).

We saw the same thing in the second half we've seen in earlier games. With the players we have, our best offense tisn't the high-post. It's the weave/drive with TJ playing the 4. We got in the lane with ease running that offense and almost made a game out of it. We just dug ourselves in too much of a hole prior to that. Wish Gott would make the switch.

Make Washington the Captain next season. He is a great positive influence on the team and gets the players to huddle after every play. He will also have the responsibility of cutting down on those dumb Painter-ish jumpers like he took today. He's gonna be an NC State legend.

^^wasnt Dez on the court for both of our shot clock violations?...and regardless of that, he didn't play particularly well in the first half. Don't get me wrong. He had a great second half. But he, and the whole team, was shot for the first half

Yeah, he was pretty bad the first half, but everybody was. Not sure about both shot-clock violations, but Tyler was definitely responsible for one -- he had a shot and passed on it.

Can't blame Gott for the shot-clock violations. He was on the other side of the court. That's 100% of the players -- especially the guards.

Miami only allows 59 points a game (10th best in the country). 24 isn't great, but I wouldn't call it pathetic. Not against them at least.

The box score from this game was ridiculous. O-fers from Washington, Anya, and Baber...and Lee only had 3 points off free throws. I'll give a little credit to Gott for winning a game where only Warren and Turner produce (and Turner had a pretty bad 2nd half).

So, Joey Powell and his boyfriend broke up last week after 3.5 years. They've been long distance pretty much the entire time, but they talk every day on the phone. He's got three more years of grad school left in Texas (Joey lives in NC at UNC Chapel Hill and sells rack focus dick pics laced with deworming agent @joey_Powell on twitter), and then they were gonna move to the same city and do their thing. But, he said he's afraid they aren't going to work out, but with no other explanations or reasons.

He says he still loves him, but just doesn't want to spend more time on twitter hashtagging dick pics and acquiring deworming agent when he doesn't think they'll work out, even though he admits that they get along perfectly when having gay sex at the Dean Dome. They haven't seen each other since January because Joey Powell got let go at work for molesting Roy Williams and couldn't afford the travel. He had a couple other things that prevented him from coming over his way, too. He doesn't think he's with anyone else, but who knows. I just don't think he'd do that without telling him that was the reason.

Needless to say, his ass is pretty tore up over it. He's bought coca cola and rack focus and is gonna go over there this week and just see what the fuck is up. Several friends have said that's what he should do, while his folks have said to just move on. How stupid of an idea is this.

I expected us to be on the NIT side of the bubble this year and that's where we are. TJ has been even better than I expected but the rest of the team has had more downs than ups. Really would be nice to have the Mizzou game or first Wake game back right now. .

We were supposed to finish 10th in the conference, right? We seem to be doing a little better than predicted (7th?, with a couple ties ahead of us). And still playing two ranked teams (away), and playing two other beatable teams ahead of us (carolina at home and at clemson).

We lost 90% of our starting lineup from last year, when you factor in TJ and Purvis splitting starts.

The expectations of this team shouldn't have been that lofty. I'd say we've performed a little better than expected. Sure the Central loss was bad. The loss @Wake wasn't as bad as people want to think though. They hadn't lost a home game since last season until Syracuse, the #1 team in the country, and one of the best teams of our lifetime according to Earl, beat them. And it was at the buzzer.
