THAT is why no one likes you. It isn't because of your realistic view of the program or any of that. It's because people are trying to talk about something that is happening now while you are trolling, taking jabs at the program, and just being an overall distraction by posting useless crap like that.

Because he is from Australia.
It's a little disconcerting that he is ridiculously undocumented, even on the Internet... but he certainly can develop in to a nice player... 4/26/2009 12:45:51 PM |

If you'd stop being such a nit picky little bitch you'd realize that post highlights this situation as one of the differences in where we are as a program with respect to our rivals Duke/UNC.4/26/2009 1:41:21 PM |

^oh wow, you really enlightened us with that one there guy. Attention everyone, this guy has now made it known that we are no where near the program that is unc/duke. thanks for the info!
News Flash: WE KNOW! We KNOW we suck! We KNOW that JV is not a highly rated recruit. We don't need you to tell us that! But this is the recruiting thread so we are going to talk about recruiting, not how we are no longer competing with unc/duke. I wish you would either make your own thread in which to be annoying or keep it in the Lowe credibility watch thread. 4/26/2009 2:17:18 PM |

If you're 7 feet tall and can walk and chew gum at the same time you can be a decent basketball player. You may even be good if you're somewhat coordinated. If he is as good of an athlete as these guys are saying, I think we got a good pickup. I just hope he can come in and give some energy off the bench this year and hopefully he'll be able to contribute a lot in year 2.
Either way, if he sees the floor for 6 or 7 minutes a game this season, we just solved our frontcourt depth problem. This is good news as long as we are able to take 3 in 2010.

why hasn't Ohboyee been banned yet? he hasn't added anything useful at all to this site? none of his posts contain any information, or any knowledge that is enlightening. All he does is whine and complain, or post about how bad we are compared to unc and duke (which is obvious at this point)

If you poke around youtube long enough you can find some videos from the Albert Schweitzer tourney, but most are in some other language and shot with a cellphone or something shitty. There's boxscores http://forums.interbasket.net/f7/albert-schweitzer-tournament-2008-6006/, and Vandenberg did not do a whole lot.
He played most in the second prelim round. It seems like if the teams were 17/18 year old guy, or whatever, then he was on the 17 year old side. The US team has guys that are already in college as well as 2009 recruits. 4/27/2009 10:43:50 AM |

^ Yeah pretty much.
I know it's nothing even remotely new... but from everything I've read and heard from what I'd consider "reputable" sources, NC State is at best a longshot and at worst not even in the conversation for John Wall's services. I know that with the way things have unfolded within the past year, we'd all be best served by not stating ANYTHING about Wall's upcoming decision with even a hint of certainty.
Every indication I have suggests one thing - Wall's primary goal is to choose the school that will best benefit his future career in the NBA. In that context, NC State is a terrible choice. Coach on the hotseat... obvious rebuilding year... virtually no potential for sticking around for a 2nd year... yeah there's just no way. I realize he wants to stay close to home for his mom, who loves Sidney and NC State, but I don't see him turning down a premier school just for that, especially if that school isn't really that far away. I also highly doubt that either his mother or Clifton would be big enough fans of State to try to convince him otherwise.
Florida has no shot given that I believe the "train wreck" rumors. Consider that Florida just released Painter from his LOI, and he's potentially a good enough big man to make Wall reconsider his options. Miami... if they have any shot then it's either a scandal or a huge credit to Haith and his staff... possibly both Duke is my 2nd place team. If Clifton really is high on them, then maybe, but I still can't see it. UNC I don't see simply b/c Clifton is so dead set against them. It'd be one thing if he just favored someone else, but he really REALLY hates them. Hey, Roy is after all the best recruiter in the nation, so who knows.
I'm calling it for UK. Mark it down. It's slightly far away, but they desperately need a PG and have a supporting cast STACKED with talent. Calipari had him if he stayed at Memphis. No reason to think he can't get him at UK. 4/28/2009 12:32:22 PM |

^^I'm hoping if he doesn't come here, he reconsiders the NBA. Sounds like he's doing just that based on recent interviews. I don't want to see him in the ACC (esp not UNC) and I really don't want Calipari to get him. I'm thinking he'll be a top-5 pick this year, possibly top-3 after Griffin and Thabeet.
^I think generally, everyone's happy we didn't land VW. Not that he can't be a good player, just that we don't have a big need for him. Seems very similar to Mays.

But, because State's chances are looking slimmer by the day, it actually cheered me up a bit. I honestly think he'll go to school though, and that school will be Kentucky. Other than the distance thing, it just makes too much sense for him to go there. 4/28/2009 1:11:51 PM |

Jeez, that's shoddy reporting by Wolfpack Hoops. They completely failed to comprehend what Zagoria reported...
Here is what Zagoria said:
Quote : | "Wall, who previously said he would not declare for the 2009 NBA Draft, said he could declare at any time.
“I’m just narrowing my list,” he said. “If I feel I can make a decision, I’ll just make it.”" |
Here is what WPHoops translated it as:
Quote : | "http://And to add onto the craziness of this saga, John said that he could declare for the NBA Draft at any time, even though he has previously said that he wouldn't do so." |
*** You would think it's pretty fucking clear given the context of the report that Zagoria said that he could declare A SCHOOL at any time... not declare for the NBA draft... jesus...
