Henry and Porter, usually don't like starting TE's over RB or WR's if I can help it.
Either will be good, Dallas will depend on the pass more than they usually do but Giants have a pretty good D. I'd say Eli after the bye.
Moss, Wayne, and JJ. Wayne will spread looks, but against Pitt I don't know how well Leftwich will be able to distribute the ball.
Bulger, even with the pass rush he'll find a couple of passing TD's, and Brady is facing a good Denver defense as well.
Buff/Buc, both facing sporadic offenses, Gus will probably throw more pics than Vinny, so I'd say go with Buccs. 10/14/2005 5:13:40 PM |

^^^^jurevicius, jimmy smith, and moss are all #1 options on their teams
(well jurevicius is 2nd to shaun alexander, but if they get down early b/c the box is stacked then look for jury to go off again) 10/14/2005 6:44:31 PM |

^last game Jimmy Smith wasn't the first or second option for the Jags, maybe he'll have a good game following that poor showing last week though.
Fred Taylor(if playing) is their number 1 option though. 10/14/2005 8:14:37 PM |

Kind of what I'm thinking, but I'm still not sure.
I guess it won't really make a huge impact on my team anyway, though.10/14/2005 8:16:25 PM |

Broncos D vs NE Falcons D vs NO?
kickers: Elam vs NE Feely vs Dal
Shelton Quarles (LB) vs Mia DeAngelo Hall (CB) vs NO?
what's the word on Julius Jones and Torry Holt? they gonna play? 10/15/2005 2:34:51 AM |
LudaChris All American 7946 Posts user info edit post |
That first question shouldn't even be a question for you. Did you not catch the highlights of the NO vs GB game last week? Did you not see Deuce is out for the season? How about the Pats vs ATL game? Pats O > NO O
So go with ATL D without a doubt.
Elam will probably see more work since NE's defense can be stingy at times.
Hard to choose between LB/CB, have to know the point system you play under.
Last I heard Julius was in a boot all week and sitting this week. I didn't hear anything on Torry being hurt 10/15/2005 4:00:50 AM |

Im in need of a running back that will get playing time, and both Antowain Smith and Aaron Stecker are available in my league. Which of these two is most likely to get the #1 spot once Stecker is back? Did Smiths 88 yards-2 TDs performance take that job from him today? 10/17/2005 1:27:07 AM |

Dillon didn't finish last week's win in Atlanta because of an ankle injury and has been limited in practice all week because of it. Views: Don't expect Patriots coach Bill Bellichick to tip his hand regarding Dillon's status any earlier than necessary, which means Dillon's fantasy owners must take a leap of faith regarding Dillon. The injury is not believed to be serious, as Bellichick has been tweaking the NFL with his use/abuse of the injury report—especially this week. Patrick Pass would receive additional carries if Dillon is limited by his injury. " |
that is if he even gets to play
[Edited on October 18, 2005 at 6:10 PM. Reason : not to mention he is in a bye week]
look at his stats compared to Droughns
Pass: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/5269/gamelog
Droughns: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/5110/gamelog
i was wrong about him getting 80yds (closer to 70)
i mean, if Pass gets to play, then yes he would be a good call, but thats IF

well, the thing with the Pats, if someone contributes while in then they arent afraid to platoon them... e.g. Kevin Faulk.
Obviously, Pass isnt a stud, but if you are in bad shape he wouldnt be bad. Seems like Bellichik is going to get him the ball 10/18/2005 8:21:47 PM |

I've been getting burned by injuries and bye weeks at running back for the past couple of weeks
my rbs are usually Jamal Lewis, Fred Taylor, Deshaun Foster, Chris Perry
last week I took Taylor out and put Perry in, which paid off big time
this week Taylor has a bye, and I dropped Foster for Mewelde Moore
I'm going to start Jamal Lewis, but who should I put next to him? Perry or Moore? 10/18/2005 10:00:56 PM |

for this week:
Broncos D vs Giants or Falcons D vs Jets
Jason Elam (K) vs Giants or Jay Feely (K) vs Broncos
i need to decide on a TE since i don't have room for two anymore:
Jerramy Stevens, Sea TE vs Cowboys this week Marcus Pollard, Det TE vs Browns this week
i'm thinking Stevens long term but since he has a bye week in a couple weeks i've kept Pollard around for that.
i also need to pick up another QB for week 8:
Jake Plummer vs Eagles Byron Leftwich vs Rams Josh McCown or Kurt Warner vs Cowboys
others available: Jake Delhomme, Car Gus Frerotte, Mia Aaron Brooks, NO Kelly Holcomb, Buf
basically slim pickins
i have an idea who i want to go with but wanna see what others think since i'm new to FF stuff

Someone in my league dropped Nate Burleson, even though hes now finally close to healthy. Should I pick him up? Right now I have Steve Smith, Anquan Boldin, Reggie Wayne, and Joe Jurevicius, so Im pretty much set at WR, and Im not sure how much impact he will have with the Vikings sucking ass. Im hoping no one will jump on him too quick as I have a defense to unload after this week anyhow.
Also, who to start? Mewelde Moore vs GB or Antowain Smith @ STL?

Definitely pick up Burleson. He is a much better prospect than Jurevicious and Reggie Wayne over the course of the season. As the primary reciever in an offense that could explode in the coming weeks, he will pay off.
Gonzo vs the Phins or Heap vs tha Bears?
also
Mike Anderson vs the Giants or Willie Parker vs the Bengals?

Heap - Wright will need to dump it off to him more often that not
Parker - Anderson is on the back-burner while Bell is hot. 10/21/2005 12:18:21 AM |
ncWOLFsu Gottfather FTL 12586 Posts user info edit post |
i dunno, anderson may still get a TD. cowher is regretful for not giving bettis more carries than he did last sunday, so i'd look for bettis to get the bulk of the carries sunday, even though parker may still get the start.
plus, bettis is the goaline back, so parker will have to have a 15+yard TD run if he's gonna score 10/21/2005 12:31:16 AM |
LudaChris All American 7946 Posts user info edit post |
I expect the Pitt/Cincy game to be a passing game, so both Bettis and Parker's touches will be a little less than usual either way.
But you may be right about Anderson since he is turning into Bettis. But Bell is an explosive back and the last couple of games has been rolling off long yard TD runs and they've even left him in near the goalline a few times. It has appeared they are getting away from running by committee and are slowly turning Anderson into a goalline only type of guy. 10/21/2005 4:40:50 AM |
ncWOLFsu Gottfather FTL 12586 Posts user info edit post |
^denver has been pretty committed to the committee though. sure, they're going to rely more heavily on bell, but they're still giving anderson his carries. he managed to get a TD in the last game.
and i actually think pittsburgh will run the ball early and often against the bengals. cincinnati's run defense sucks, and the steelers' top 3 WR's are all listed as questionable. i just think they'll pound the ball with bettis more than they did last game since parker has been unproductive lately. however, it's possible that on one of parker's carries he will bust out a long run, maybe for a TD, but i think bettis will have the better day. 10/21/2005 8:29:47 AM |
LudaChris All American 7946 Posts user info edit post |
^I think they will run the ball as long as they can, but if Palmer and the Bengals O can get it going, I don't think they'll have that luxury. 10/21/2005 10:48:30 AM |

my RB's are L. Tomlinson (SD) L. Jordan (Oak) S. Jackson (StL) T. Jones (Chi) A. Green (GB) R. Johnson (Cinc)
