^^ That would make sense, I think.

Hiro has some future telling ability, and Isaac's pretty much served his purpose as far as we can tell.

lmao Hiro's "future telling ability" is he can go to the future and see it first hand, isaac's is more practical

so you don't think the comic book will have any further significance from here on out? if isaac dies, so does the comic book.

If Isaac dies it's at Sylar's hand before the bomb goes off in NY. Hiro saw that already.

I think Hiro will be able to change the future and save Isaac.

^^^Been thinking about it, and it makes sense that yeah he basically will be done with his purpose...but I can see him developing stronger powers and more refined...but the drugs could be an easy reason to kill him off...overdose on trying to ultimately paint the ultimate future...

But I think it is just as likely they use him for a while and help him wheen off drugs and become more proficient.

one humorous thing i noticed today was that the diner that petrelli flies to is called "Fly By Night", and it says it on the t-shirt they give him.

This show hasn't pulled me in the way I thought it would. I think Smallville does a much better job at developing characters you really start to care about. However, it may be somewhat due to the number of characters the show is introducing. So I'm not going to give up on it yet, lets see what happens in the coming weeks.

Also, I haven't read all the posts in this thread so it may have been addressed, but why is it Hiro can't stop NY from blowing up himself? Why did he go into the past to tell someone else they had to save the cheerleader? Why can't he do it? Why couldn't he tell him her name, or give him more info? Overall, someone who can manipulate the space/time continum should be much more powerful...

well when he came back he mentioned "rifts" but there was no explanation for what they are, but it's been speculated that this could mean he has some limitations to what exactly he can do as far as changing the past goes.

I think the rifts thing was Hiro not wanting to do too much in the past that would upset the future he came from.

Hiro IS named for the bomb at Hiroshima which killed his grandfather. See graphic novel installment number 2 at NBC.com

one weird thing about peter's power i noticed:

he drew that stick figure drawing while in the hospital (episode 2) and his eyes weren't white like they were in the last episode. also, the drawing had that "S" looking symbol on it as well.

well, i think the eyes turn white when they are seeing the vision, not really when they are painting the vision (isaac just usually does both at the same time). Peter may have had the vision earlier and then just doodled it later (plus he wasn't around isaac at that time).

did you ever see peter's eyes when he was drawing anyways?

yeah you did

that could make sense though. that he saw the vision while with isaac and then sketched it from memory later on

I hadn't noticed this before. I thought it was a fire escape or something, but after looking closer at it, I think it is the S symbol.

As for Peter's eyes changing when he uses Isaac's power, maybe his eyes changed because he was actually trying to use the power instead of it passively coming out in his stick figure doodling?

maybe peter has some leftover power after meeting people with power because I thought I remember him saying to his brother that he hovering when he woke up in the first episode.

to clarify my post ^ after he leaves them and is by himself he has leftover powers. Allowing him to draw the stick figures. and float.

i haven't seen the first episode, so i can't comment on the floating

it doesn't seem like he has residual powers though, he couldn't fly the next day after standing on top of the building with his brother

What do people think Peter's scar will be? Where will it come from?
It has to have something to do with a fight for the cheerleader I would think

Sorry if this was answered, I didn't see it.

I'm thinking residual effects of the leftover power (stuff he can't force to use), not him trying to use it, but unconsciencely using it.

How exactly are you going to stop the bomb from destroying NYC? He doesn't know who sent it. Whats he gonna do, stop time, somehow position himself hundreds of feet off the ground, and diffuse the bomb? I mean I don't see any potential here.

after reading some the of boards on http://www.9thwonders.com/boards it seems that originally the nuclear explosion was an international terrorist attack, but they have since decided to drop the terrorism angle. the character who originally could boil water with his hands was a middle eastern looking character called "the engineer." claire happened to see this character with nuclear warheads. after seeing the recent previews, it seems they may have recast that role as a domestic white male. so...there's a possibilty that he may be involved in the explosion..or maybe not.

If you click on the first page of graphic novel 3 (not the gay Versa ad) it takes you to a Nathan Petrelli TV campaign ad. Mentions he served in Bosnia, Serbia, and Rwanda as well as D.A. of NYC.

I really hate that the show's name is misspelled in the thread title.

If history has taught us anything it is that someone always claims responsibility for such actions afterwards. Tracking down the culprit or culprits would be considerably easier if one could travel through time instead of forcing someone else to figure it out for themself.

I think that the cheerleader has been brainwashed by her father and the other guy. I think he "tests" her everynight, then erases it all.

I think her parents are going to end up playing a big role later in the season. Either her father or mother is probably going to be a villian. I want more random shots of who we believe to be Sylar to see some more of his power. Could it be as simple as he is able to absorb powers by using the brains of the gifted? So he's killed enough heroes to have a freeze ability, a regen ability, a flying ability, super strength ability...I believe those are all we've seen from him so far.

And I'm surprised they haven't done any more with that child. If Sylar was after the kid (that the detective discovered), something has to be up with her. Some ability or something.

And how many people are working for Sylar? Remember the "pest guy" in the apartment that pulled a gun?

I keep remembering all these things I had forgotten about

He has some way to control people's physical actions because he made the lady cop turn the gun on herself.
