^ because no matter how much you play pick up ball, or condition in practice or any of that. You expend A LOT more energy playing in a game than your body does every "normal" day.

Don't get me wrong, the players are in great shape, but it wears the body down. Luckily we match up well against VT and we shouldn't have to expend crazy amounts of energy to hang with them.
