I hope everyone doesn't criticize Ronaldo's play and base it on his huge new contract - things just weren't there for him today. Propers to Rooney for hustling his ass off

eh, ronaldo did alright, he cant have a 10/10 performance every game. he did add another goal to his talley, albeit a pk, but he showed great confidence to put that ball in the side netting twice(since he had to retake it). hargreaves is showing he is just as dangerous from the set piece as ronaldo is, which makes me happy.

on arsenals side they just dont have the depth to keep up with first. wenger said hes not buying anyone on the offseason but he should prob think about another striker whos reliable and a little less of an injury problem. if amac was up here he would suggest Klaas Jan Huntelaar

fabregas after a great start to the season(first 10 games, he has pretty much disappeared, id say that is the biggest concern with arsenal. had he kept up his great playing, they would prob be tied with united on points in the league.

Henry and Ronaldinho are suppose to be available this summer... those would be great acquisitions for any team looking for some offense... though i doubt Henry would go back to the EPL.

^^last i read henry was unsettled cause of not being with his daughter who is in london...arsenal wont take him back cause wenger doesnt believe in starting people over 25 unless your a gk haha...i could see chelsea picking him up, which im fine with, chelski is turning into the real madrid from a few years ago of the EPL.

if i had to guess were Henry would end up i would say Lyon or marseille, that would get him fairly close to london too...

Henry and Cisse would be a great striking pair for Marseille

I don't see Henry coming here, Beckham had a lot of stuf going on in europe at the time... he wasn't getting any playing time at Real Madrid and he had just been pushed out of the english national team, so Beckham needed to do something to get himself some playing time and some news coverage and look now he played in like 4 games for the galaxy and didn't do much last year and he was miraculously back on the national squad... henry on the other hand gets plenty of playing time and doesn't have any threats to take his spot on the french national team.

look it only takes 1 or 2 major players in their prime signing with american teams to start the flood of players moving here.
everyone loves america the only thing holding them up is $ and players playing here, if players sign the $$ will follow

... Thierry Henry to Seattle isn't a dumb comment if you take a step back and look at the money involved.

Seattle Sounders FC are partly owned by Paul Allen, and they've already said that they're willing to offer Henry $300,000 a week.

That's roughly 150,000 pound a week, and that's 15,000 pounds a week MORE than what John Terry makes right now.

Henry has played in every major league in Europe except for the Bundesliga, and for him to come over here and get paid rediculous money to EAT American competition isn't that much of a stretch, especially given that he's already getting face time over here outside of football (Gillette commercials..?).

And as far as Henry getting playing time at Barca..... the only reason he gets burn right now is because Messi was hurt. Messi comes back, and Barca have Krkic, Messi, and Eto'o to play up front. Henry has been phoning it in all year at the Nou Camp, and Barca have already said they'd be willing to let him go in the off-season (probably along with Frank Rijkaard).

^ yeah, all good points. It's not exactly impossible we'll see him here. I'd rather see him come to NY and play for the Red Bulls after Red Bull Park is opened up.

"Liverpool striker Fernando Torres said on Monday that Spain's Primera Liga was stronger than the Premier League despite the presence of three English teams in the Champions League semi-finals.

'In England the top four are better than the ones in Spain, above all when it comes to consistency,' the Spain international told Radio Marca. 'Apart from that, the rest of the teams in the Primera Liga are stronger as they have more quality.'"

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has revealed after that the Rossoneri are close to signing Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini.

The 24-year-old midfielder, currently sidelined by an ankle problem, has yet to agree a new deal with the Gunners and is out of contract at the end of the season, meaning he could walk away from the Emirates Stadium in the summer with Milan waiting to pounce.

Galliani said: "Flamini will arrive tonight in Milan and will sign a four year contract."

Arsene Wenger fears his young Arsenal team are in danger of breaking up after it emerged that Emmanuel Adebayor has demanded £80,000 a week to stay at the club.

The 24-year-old striker signed a new contract last summer worth a weekly £35,000, but he has told Wenger he wants to be paid in line with the top players in the Barclays Premier League.

The manager fears a salary and transfer explosion this summer, with Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool expected to spend upwards of £50m each on top-class signings.

I loved DC United growing up (before I saw any of the EPL). After I watched my first EPL game, the MLS was never the same. It just made the MLS look like shit. I used to love watching Robbie Fowler when he was at Liverpool. The fans and the atmosphere was incredible. Anfield is a special place and it will definitely be sad to see them move and start playing at the new stadium. Liverpool has been my club ever since. Some people say "oh you picked them because they are part of the big four" and their history or what not but I chose Liverpool well before I knew they had 18 leagues and 5 cups. I will be a Red forever now.
