^^Pit and Rob are both pretty awesome in one-on-one battles. Better than Link, Samus, and Falcon I would say. Olimar is badass too once you get used to him.

Snake is really good in 4-player because you can just kinda hang back setting proximity mines and C4s and shooting rockets while everybody else is fighting.

Yeah I waited around in the practice room for about 15 mins and nothing. They need some kind of thing that lets you know when people are online. But we all know Nintendo will never implement that because they think we are gonna get molested.

^^ the key is to pick a tremendously gay character no matter how good or bad they are. nothing is more amusing than beating someone with mr game and watch or ice climbers. they just are silly. pokemon of all sorts are another great choice.

I got to play some random online today. The lag was ridiculous. There was no point to playing as a speed character and reaction times were too long. This is unacceptable. At least I haven't had any issues with friend brawls.

i experience lag mostly when playing random people. when i play friend games the connection is usually lag free.

Some levels seem to lag more than others, like the levels that are constantly scrolling or the Shadow Moses level.

Overall though, it's not bad. I played a bunch of 3 player brawls yesterday with friends and it was mostly lag free.

He just has a pretty good range and his hit's HURT. They don't hurt as much as Ike though, that guy is a monster. His attacks have a high priority too.

Yeah, I'm pretty terrible at this game so I prefer guys like Ike and Snake who have hard hitting standard attacks and smashes.

Yeah, I had my first TWW friend battle last night. One with someone I had registered and the other was with someone I hadn't...had a cool feature though, you could add that person as friend right there without knowing their code (I don't know if it worked or not). But it was a good evenly matched 3 person battle for a long time and then the lag started and got to be a bit much. Overall, good experience though.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ dude, King Dedede is fucking awesome. His swallow attack fucking KILLS if you can exhale onto another opponent. His waddle dee throw is pretty weak, but it's fairy decent considering it's the only real ranged attack for a heavy hitter. His up special is a little hard to use but does massive damage if you can land the body slam, and is a guaranteed spike KO should you hit somebody at the edge, or a star KO if the damage is moderate. If somebody is edge guarding you and hanging off the side, this move is guaranteed to finish off your opponent. His down special is the best part, because you can move around while charging it. Sure, you take a little damage if you charge for too long but the damage and knockback are fucking ridiculous. His up smash comes out pretty fast for a heavy character and does great knockback. His side smash is a little slow but if you charge it the hit comes out really fast. He's by far my favorite character.

For those of you having problems getting Online battles, I think I found the problem.

When you initially join the online game, it will pit you against a group based on your choice in level. If you hit random and get assigned joe-shmoe stupid level (like Hainbow), you have to wait for someone else to choose that level. If you choose a more tournament type level (like Black Moses or Final Destination), you will have a group of 4 in about a minute. From there on out, you'll be with that same group (people may come and go). I *think* that the level most chosen by your group gets used in next brawls.

My first battles had a delay of about .5 seconds, which made it near unplayable for me. I dropped and joined another group (method used above) and things were better. My guess was that someone had a bum connection.

So far, I think its great once you get a good connection. My two complaints are:

-WTB Stock matches. I hate timed.
-When all 4 slots aren't matched, you sometimes get a CPU to join. If I wanted to play against a CPU, I wouldn't be online.

^Yeah I hate that they are timed. I am better at surviving than I am at getting knockouts. That is why so many people use Ike online, he is really strong and he isn't that difficult to get at least 1 or 2 knockouts with. I really hate how each timed match I play though is pretty much determined by:

1) Who is lucky enough to get the smash ball first... pretty much if you get your final smash then you get the most knockouts or
2) You get a lucky hit during sudden death. I played a few matches yesterday when it came down to a four player sudden death. Nobody would attack each other and eventually bombs starting falling out of the sky and one of us was just lucky enough to be the last one hit by one.

I prefer timed matches myself, at least in previous Smash titles. It's more fun if everyone stays in until the end and people who wait off to the side in large stages suck.
