Ignoring the Western Conference bias, I can agree with the Red Wings, but do you really think the Stars are that great? I think they're going to come crashing back down to earth at some point.

Possibly even in this round.

NYR will make a miraculous comeback to win the series and advance to murder philadelphia and continue their streak into winning the SCF over the Red Wings.

Colorado should just forfeit

11 goals in 10 games. Franzen is a golden god

he's definitely making himself some money this playoffs.

the only thing that will stop the wings from winning the cup this year would be a goaltender injury

turco is a hot goalie. we know what can happen when a goalie gets hot in the playoffs (ahem the canes 2 years ago)

I always thought Werewolves of London was a good winner song though.

I know this is the post season talk of the playoffs, but did anyone see this video about the canucks not making the playoffs. I was on SI's Extra Mustard and saw it and started laughing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWeCKqM_P1M

Sorry if it was posted, but I did a search and nothing came up, so sorry if it has been posted. I thought it was classic though.

By the way, I'm glad to see the Flyers won, great series and game. Now I just want the sharks to continue to win and come back from the 0-3 hole they're in.

Does anyone but me think it can be done? I think they can pull off 2 more wins, they've been by far the streaky-est team in the league this season and I think they can do it.

It would boost the ratings, so perhaps behind the scenes this is what the NHL is hoping for. History, however, is not in favor of a comeback. Maybe a game 7 triple overtime or something.

Well the first time an 0-3 comeback occurred was in 1942, then in 1975, this was 33 years. Well 2008 is 33 years after 75, so I'm still holding out hope for the Sharks. If Marleau can keep it up and Thornton come alive like he started too in the third, they can do it.

If there is something to the whole 33 years thing, I'd much rather it be the Rangers cashing in on it than the Sharks.

I hate the Rangers, please no. If it had to be an Original 6 match up, I would've wanted the Habs and not them. I'd take Boston over the Rangers any day.

I think the Penguins are going to close out the Rangers today at the Mellon. I hope whoever plays the Wings though knocks them out. There is only one team I hate more than Detroit and that's the Sabres. I can't wait until Ryan Miller is a free agent after next season and leaves them too. Then I can like the Sabres again as they will never leave the bottom. But my hopes are for a Pens vs. Sharks final. I think it could be really exciting if the Sharks can get it going and take the series. Then it would be the matchup of the two deemed to replace Gretzky in Thornton and Crosby. I think it'd be one hell of a series.

i dunno man. the flyers are playing pretty well offensively right now and getting production from a bunch of guys. i have faith that the D can lock down the pens or rangers forwards like they did with the capitals and ovechkin.

that being said, the penguins are playing very well and they do scare me a bit.

No O-6.

Penguin victory in the Cup Finals could be good for business, though.

Have to root for the Penguins over the Flyers though, so good luck to them, I guess.

Oh I hate the Flyers. I grew up, and still somewhat am, a Detroit fan. So if they make it to the Cup Finals, I will be pulling for them.

I think the Pens and Flyers will be an excellent series. I think the Flyers can win this series though. The way Biron is playing and the way the Flyers defense has been, I think it will be a great series. I think the Flyers penalty kill will be able to bring down the Pens' power play a few percent, probably about 15-18%. I think Mike Richards will be able to cause enough problems on the Pens point to force a few short handed goals. Malkin is good, but I think Richards' intensity will cause a lot of problems when he plays the point.

So my prediction: Flyers in 6. I think Richards will have at least 1 shorty and the Pens power play will operate at about 18%. I think Umberger will have 3 to 4 more goals this series, but that might be about it. I just think the Flyers are too hot of a team right now that the Pens can't handle them. Don't forget, before the Flyers had all of the injuries and lost so many in a row, they were in the Top 5 in the league for most of the season and most of those players (sans Gagne) are playing really well.
