i went back and watched ronaldos goal on dvr and he kept making this face which made me think of this guy:




after seeing that shot again i can see why almunia missed it...the trajectory it takes it looks like its starting to dip and about 3/4 of the way there it flattens out magically and its why it goes right over his hands. unless you have robot reactions or got your body in front of that, most likely no one was saving that... it was basically a knuckleball.
