Make it four in a row with Santana on the bump tomorrow.

Five out with Reyes, Delgado, Putz, Wagner AND Beltran all looking likely to be back for the last 5 weeks. If we can somehow get it back down to 3-4 by Sept 1 it will be on...

No one in the wildcard race is better than a FULL Mets team. I'm confident on that. It's all about keeping us close and with the awesome play of Pagan and Frenchy (and Castillo's resurgence) I'm thinking we just might be able to do that...

What's the 1200 reference anyway?

I guessed it was in reference to the + moneyline that UCLA had last year, but you've been registered longer than that debacle.

Do tell homey.

Well, they say laughter is the best medicine. Unfortunately, the Mets have OD'ed on it this year. At least they want collectively rip out our hearts with a choke in September.

This is great.

John Maine injured on DL. His replacement Fernando Nieve injured on DL. His replacement Jon Niese injured and now on DL. So they are moving Bobby Parnell to start again (as he did in unspectacular fashion all through the minors).

Oh yeah, their top two pitching prospects Jenry Mejia and Brad Holt and their top overall prospect Fernando Martinez (all consensus Top 50 prospects) have all been on the DL for extended periods of time the past month.

This isn't just older, brittle guys getting hurt. It's kids, guys in their prime AND older guys. I've never seen anything like this. Braves fans will say they had a 2008 similar, but I looked at the games missed and it is not ANYWHERE NEAR CLOSE in terms of player games lost and talent of those players who missed those games.

Fuck catching the Phillies, I just want all the guys to LIVE through the season...

I've got a loft for rent in Denver, 5 minute walk from Coors Field. We don't really care about baseball unless we're winning in September. PM if interested, we've got a good job market here too...

PS our stadium is surrounded by expensive houses and condos, not cash-for-clunker junkyards

Yeah, I was born a Red Sox fan and hate them now for many reasons. I bought Rockies season tix in 2005 and have continued to do so.... I just sell them to transplants of other teams now, I've been to one game this year lol.

Thank God for Cubs fans, they pay in cash and pay premium for tix and lodging.

Its like one big practical joke played by the baseball gods...we're going to injure your already great $43 million closer, but do it when another guy has a perfect season and breaks the record. Then, we'll have you cut back on younger talent to make room for K-Rod's new $37 million contract, only to have him suck and be nothing like the guy you thought you were getting.

When Oliver Perez gives you such a good game, such a rarity, you don't fucking give up a grand slam in the bottom of the 9th to the fucking Padres. We can't catch a fucking break.

FUCK

It's finally complete. Now the top four players on the team will have been injured and missed major playing time this year.

Worst season, injury-wise, in baseball history. What can you do?

I hope everyone makes it through the season alive...

Shit like that and what happened to Hiroki Kuroda is what I feared most while playing. Especially pitching, cause the ball comes so much faster back at you.

Lowe has 2-3 starts a year like last night's game where he can't get his sinker working and the other team tees off on him. No big deal. Braves needed that win and blowing a 4 run lead sucks, but got to give credit to the Mets for pounding out 18 hits or whatever with a triple A lineup.

You beat our #9 (or is it #10 -- Santana, Maine, Pelfrey, Perez, Hernandez, Redding, Niese, Nieve...) starter with our four best position players on the DL.

Congratulations, I guess. Too bad the guy you are paying ace money to couldn't beat the AA Mets.

Frenchy tore a ligament in his hand.

Santana going to see elbow specialist after complaining about left elbow discomfort and is scratched from tomorrow's start.

Yay!

3. Gary Sheffield 14,000,000
4 a. Carlos Delgado 12,000,000
4 b. Oliver Perez 12,000,000
