I gave you a fact, and you chose to ignore it: Tampa hasn't swept us in six years. I don't care that your team chose to play their scrubs, it doesn't mean you automatically would've won that game. It doesn't mean shit, a loss is a loss. You have excuses for them losing at least one game every season since then, too?

That's as much a "fact" as OMG TAMPA IS 3-3 AT CAROLINA AND 2-5 AT HOME SO THAT MEANS THEY MUST BEAT CAROLINA!!!!!!!!!! All that means is that Tampa is 50/50 at Carolina, which is the same odds of them winning the game in the first place. So it doesn't mean anything either.

the media will probably be 70-30 if not 100% choosing TB next week, based on the game they already played this year

which i would love to see 100% of them picking TB to win

too bad you've been ignoring the whole "90% of teams that start 7-2 make the playoffs" stat which has been compiled over decades

maybe when the Panthers and Steelers make the playoffs I'll make you a thread in Feedback Forum

Look, you rattled off a whole bunch of points about the GB game and you were dead wrong. What makes you think this is going to be any different?

The fact of the matter is the league is unpredictable and the Panthers are especially so. Sometimes they blow the games they're supposed to win and win the games they're supposed to lose. The stomped Atlanta early in the season and got stomped by Atlanta later in the season. What makes you so sure the Panthers can't stomp the Bucs late in the season after getting stomped early in the season?

Stats are great and all, but crazy things can happen. When the stats overwhelmingly favor one team over another, sure, you can make some educated guesses. But sometimes shit happens (Browns versus Giants, anyone?)

Point is, the Bucs and the Panthers are very evenly matched. I don't think you can point to stats in this case. Need I remind you that the Bucs almost LOST to KC? And only beat NO by a field goal despite three picks? Perhaps they had some bad games -- and the Panthers have too.

I think the fact that you're SO SURE of the outcome between two very evenly matched teams is laughable. This isn't Titans versus Lions. You can't really be so certain.

The Panthers average about 150 more total yards at home and have scored over 20 points per game. If we hold the Bucs to 20 points or under we will win. The Bucs are 3-3 on the Road this season with 2 of your road wins coming against Detroit and KC both wins were comeback wins and 2 of your wins came in OT. The Bucs don't play as well away from Raymond James. The Panthers will control both sides of the line on Monday. DeAngelo will have a big game as will Beason.

Since we are being petty, its been 5 seasons, 2008 isnt done yet and we did sweep you in 2002 (SUPERBOWL CHAMPS). But like I said, we easily would of beaten you last season. Actually, I dont even remember the qb you guys had playing. What was his name??? Anyways, that was still a dumb remark by you.

Did I not explain after I stated that fact that this stat didnt mean that I miraculously figured out that the Bucs will def beat Carolina but that it was just another statistic??? Why must you people keep putting words in my mouth. Next time before you post, take a deep breath a slow down, maybe you wont make this mistake again.

Of course I dont know for a 100% fact that the Bucs will win this game. People in here try to act like thats what Im saying. In reality, I made this thread to talk football, I figured there would be some good knowledgable fans. You guys talk more about me than you do football. There is no reason to try to make me look bad, in reality, its hundred of you guys against me. And Im not going anywhere.

1) 27-3.....2) Garcia has beaten them in last 5....3) Tampa plays Carolina better on the road....4) Tampa's D is better and D wins championships....5) Jake Delhomme likes to throw picks....6) Garcia doesnt....7) Carolina has been playing poorly since their bye....8) TB hasnt

Good enough, by the way, if you care to read sometime this is all in the previous posts

Then why do you want to hear any of our statistics, if they're just as meaningless as you admit yours to be? More importantly, why are you continuing to assert dominance in your statistics even though there have been some that counter yours? I'm sure if any of us cared, we could dig up some more. But in the end, again:
Quote :
"you determine a winner by playing the damn game. none of the horrendous shit you're spewing out of your insignificant, pea-brain means anything. at all."

Quote :
"Of course I dont know for a 100% fact that the Bucs will win this game. People in here try to act like thats what Im saying."

Then why did you make a thread called "CAROLINA PANTHERS WILL NOT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS" if you intended it be "I CAN ONLY GUESS THAT THE PANTHERS WILL NOT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS, BASED ON MY GUESSES OF THE OUTCOME OF THE REST OF THEIR GAMES"? And why say things like "Yea Im not trying to convince you of anything, I'm telling you how it will go." Well your prediction (much more than that, even, since you were TELLING US how our season would end, of course) of the Green Bay loss was flat-out wrong.

You're backpedaling since your sloppy Green Bay guess. And that's okay, I understand. I enjoy talking about football, I don't enjoy people who do nothing but talk shit about their rival team because they're insecure.

Haha, plz do. Ive been asking for this for a long time. All u guys do (just as you just did), is complain about me. THIS THREAD IS ABOUT FOOTBALL, not user id: jh51085. My stats are far from useless, but I also admit of course (once again), the stats dont win the games. But also if you deny them and overlook them as meaningless, then it is foolish. Look I know your a girl and you are trying to prove you can hang with "one of the guys" and Im not saying you cant, but just take it down a notch. You can prove points without doing what you just did (rambling).

Yno I spent 1 whole week talking about how the Panthers would lose to GB, and the only guy who significantly argued with me was Treetwista. Now WHEN PANTHERS ACTUALLY WIN, I get it from all angles. Guys who have never posted are jumping all over me, even girls. What is this thread coming too. Sounds like a lot of unsure fans to me. And lets not forget people, as much as you want to talk about my missed pick this past weekend: 1) it was a remarkably close game (miracle catch my Smith) 2) I DID call ATL game very CORRECT and I know no Panther fan thought that would happen. I got way more shit on that than on the GB game.

Stats in Carolina's favor; Rushing Yards, Turnovers, Scoring offense, Punt return offense, Punt return defense, Field Goal percentage, Kicking Defense, Punting yardage, forced fumbles, Sacks allowed, Forced fumbles given up.

Sacks were surprisingly close (what with Tampa's renowned defense) with Tampa having 25 and Carolina having 24.

In other words, you can cherry pick the stats all you want and it doesn't matter. It is a fact that we're better on offense and special teams, so we'll see how that comes down in Charlotte this monday.

I don't see anyone else complaining about my points or that I'm a girl. Does it bother you that when you asked for people to give stats against your guesses that a girl made them? Seems like it. Hell, even bringing my gender up as an issue for you just makes you look stupid.

On gameday, two TEAMS play, not their statistics. So yeah, those stats might reflect what happens or they may be meaningless.

I figured it would, but nice try. Just because I don't post all my picks in a thread and crown myself CHAMPION GUESSER doesn't mean that "no panther fan" figured we might lose that game. I'm a loyal Panther fan and I wanted us to win that game, but we usually don't sweep Atlanta (we've only done it once since the division started, and we couldn't even do it during our superbowl year). We have the worst record against them (with Tampa, we're 9-7, NO we're 15-12, Atlanta we're 11-17) in our division. You might notice there that we have the best record over Tampa (if you really wanted to, it's not like you want to pay attention to stats, it seems), though.

Thats because you are in a thread with 95% Panthers fans. Your point about sweeping us since 2003 is a useless stat once again because we would of easily swept you last season (Matt Moore??).

Fire everyone who works for ESPN then. There is no reason to talk or predict about a game before it happens.

I mean lets be honest here for a moment. I wasn't very off with my predictions (of player stats). I said Aaron Rodgers and Jennings would have big games: Rodgers- 298 yds, 3 td, 1 int.....Jennings- 8 rec, 91 yds, 1 td.....I said Grant would run well against you: B Jackson- 11 carries, 80 yds (someone did run all over you, just not Grant, point is, I knew Pack would run on you). I said the corners would do well against the pass: Delhomme- 117 yds, 0 td.....Smith was the only big player, and he really only had 2 plays, but he made them none the less. The only real stat I was wrong about was in the W-L column. And the Packers gave you guys 1 td with that botched snap in the RZ. SOOOOO, in summary, yea I was wrong about who would win this game, but dont act like I was horrible with my predictions. I was very close to being right on. Pretty much if Smith doesnt make that miracle catch at the end, there is a good chance, none of you would be writing in this thread this week.

Actually, thinking about it, I will give you that. If one of them runs for 100 yds, or if both run for 65+, I would have to agree with you. DO you honestly see this happening tho? Let me throw some stats out there. DeAngelo has run for over 80 yds 6 times this season (half his games). The 6 times he did it, here are those teams' stop-run-run ranks in order: 15th, 31st, 13th, 29th, 32nd, and 21st. 2 of these +80 yds games (Det and Oak), the only reason he got over 80 yds was because 1 run he had (69 yds and 56 yds, respectively) and these 2 are arguably the 2 worst run defenses he faced out of those. Now the other six times he did not run for 80+, here are those teams' stop-the-run ranks in order: 6th, 2nd, 21st, 9th, 19th, 27th. His avg yds per carry against the 3 teams in the top 10: 2.8, 2.7, 2.5, respectively. 2.5 coming against no one other than: Tampa Bay Bucs. Now I will give you that Stewart had a nice day against Chicago, but that was when he was actually used. You guys hardly use him anymore and I didnt see a need to list his stats.

So getting back to what you said Hancho, I agree that if Deangelo gets at least 100 yds rushing, you guys win. Too bad he has shown he cant even come close to that THIS SEASON against top 10 ranked teams in rush def.

considering the margin in the game, I wouldn't expect the rushing totals to be good.

I heard they might do a blackout for the game....supposedly they already have a black helmet design that is badass.

That actually would be tight. Id like to see that. But back to the yards per carry, I agree that his total yds wouldnt be that high due to the margin of the game, but there is no explanation for the 2.5 yds per carry, except the Bucs D.

Ok so tell me this, if Carolina loses to TB, are you still VERY CONFIDENT they make playoffs? They have 2 teams 1 game behind them, and another team 2 games behind them with a decently easy schedule. I now think the Cowboys and Falcons get in more so than the Cowboys and Skins. And dont look now but an NFC North WC team could POSSIBLY creep in. Chicago wins out and Vikes are playing well.

Yes. If you want to talk about brutal schedules in the last few weeks, look at the Cowboys: @pitt, NY, @Balt, philly....ouch, and they probably have to win 3 of those (it's probably going to come down to the last week vs. philly). I initially thought Wash would sneak in as the last wild card, but now I don't think it's far fetched to get 3 nfc south teams in.

and there is no way a north team is getting a wildcard.

one thing i agree that TB has going for them is the only 1 rushing TD allowed this season

and the panthers' 19 rush TDs is 2nd in the league this season, so hopefully the panthers can get something going in the air. the good thing about this team is that when one part of the crew is struggling, another part of the crew steps up their game

My only real prediction here that Im counting on is Carolina not making playoffs. As far as who makes it in their place, could be Bears, Vikes, Falcons, Bucs, Skins, Cowboys, Eagles, or Saints.

Ya you are right, I didnt notice that. Thats a tough schedule for sure, but I still like Dallas' chances better than the Giants. They are more balanced offensively and they have a good defense as well.

Someone said earlier that if the Panthers get their running game going, they win, if not they lose. Then someone pointed out that the Bucs have allowed only 1 rushing td this whole entire year. So a Panther fan indirectly suggested that the Panthers would lose this Monday because if the running game is going, its assumed that they will at least get 1 td, No?????? And then top that off with the Bucs having the 3rd best passing defense. Its really a catch 22 for the Panthers, they will be heavily detered when running, and heavily deterred when passing. Smell that?? Smell like a fresh can of that ass whoopin.
