ah, I forgot about the transitive property of sports
Quote : | "They sacked Georgia quarterback Joe Cox twice, and Cox isn't nearly as mobile as Wilson. Keep in mind, South Caraolina was playing against the same Georgia offense that generated just 10 points against Oklahoma State - which then gave up 45 points in a loss to Houston. " |
So since SC allowed a bunch of points against a team that put up a few points on a team that allowed a bunch of points, then obviously Houston > Oklahoma State > Georgia > SC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> NC State

^ I just find it humorous that they wrote an article about our inept offense 10 days after the game in question, but seem to ignore the fact that UNC's offense could only muster 10 points against UConn even after their defense produced multiple turnovers. While UConn may have a stout defense, the Big East isn't known for producing defensive powerhouses. The SEC is. Regardless, nothing can excuse that abortion of a running game UNC put forth on Saturday. So they had key blockers injured. Big fucking woop. Nobody cut State slack when Vermiglio went down, and Left Tackle is arguably the most important blocking position in an offense, especially in the passing game. If the author really felt this story was worth writing/blogging, he could have at least made it about both State and UNC's offensive woes. Then it would have at least appeared to be more relevant/timely. As it stands right now, it just appears to be a journalist trying to demonstrate the transitive property he just learned at the community college night math class he is taking. 9/14/2009 7:01:09 PM |

^ Yeah, I can't figure it out but the media is still drinking the UNC kool-aid. I hope they're going to get exposed by ECU. UNC may be the better team, but ECU is going to be hongry.

UConn actually did play really solid defense until the 4th quarter...they did a great job of staying home on coverages and playing as a team to overcome athletic shortcomings.
That being said, UNC's offense wasn't impressive in the least.9/14/2009 8:22:26 PM |

i think, quite unfortunately, that ecu is the one who will get exposed next weekend
though that will just make the unc collapse even sweeter when it happens 9/14/2009 9:02:53 PM |

Hasn't ECU already been exposed? Almost losing to App and getting smacked by West Virginia certainly shouldn't make them feel good 9/14/2009 9:19:56 PM |
