talk of renaming and rebranding the team are starting to surface. I was never a fan of the "Bob's Cats" name, but i'm not sure how i feel about rebranding. On one hand I say if you do it go ahead and do it now while the name is still young and forgettable, but on the other hand i'd like to see the ownership get out of debt and this will only add to their losses.

but let's say they do rebrand, any ideas for mascots/team names that you'd like to see?

i really dont see how any true Charlottean could possibly support the Lollercats. i really just dont understand how a team can be ripped straight from my heart (the Hornets) and replaced with this ridiculous sideshow circus that very few people in charlotte care about.

the hornets were Charlotte's team. through and through. the entire city embraced them and it was as passionate of an NBA city as there was out there.

i understand the Bobcats are new, young, etc...but its just not the same and never will be.

Its not the same and never will be BUT given the choice of adopting this new team or having no team to root for at all, I don't know why you would opt for the latter.

Unless you still root for the Hornets, but I don't think you do.

People who hate the Bobcats don't understand that we're just rooting for laundry. Larry Johnson and Alonzo Mourning never cared about you or me, and neither do Gerald Wallace and Stephen Jackson. We root for them because we like basketball and they're the closest professional team. Simple as that.
