Intentionally so, because I could write a book on it.

The main characteristic is the guilt. He'll have a massive, overwhelming amount of guilt. The funny part about it is that he'll be mostly unaware of the bulk of it -- it'll just sit in the background silently determining his preferences and decisions.

Catholics love to use guilt to try and manipulate other people, because it's a simple way they can manipulate one another (due to the invariable presence of it in massive doses amongst them).

possibly - depends on where they are on the spectrum but from what you said, most likely.

my family is catholic, but marrying people who aren't catholic isn't a big deal (with the exception of jews - my grandmother hates jews )

Hmmm. Perhaps I'll do that tonight. Should make for an interesting date! I already told him I don't really intend to have children. He also didn't seem to appreciate that comment, but appeared to hold his tongue.

I've been brutally honest thus far! Maybe I can get him to crack and tell me what he really thinks!

I think the date with the 41-year-old could provide more entertainment. That's Friday. We're going to his office party. There could be a few raised eyebrows. I'll be sure to report back for your reading pleasure.

LOL. As long as I don't get any comments like, "Is this your daughter?"

BC I've been on a date where that happened. It's kind of hilarious, and kind of gross.

^^^ Also, I hardly fit the "chippy" descriptor: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Chippy%2C%20chippies

1. Chippy, chippies
A stuck-up, prissy, high-maintenance girl with no brains, and all boobs who all thoughtful, intelligent girls want to slap, because they are so damn clueless

^ Let me know! I can help. Send me the specs, deadline, etc. This can be the rest of your Christmas present.

If he wants a chippy, then it looks like I'm going to need a massive push-up bra.

Or I should charge, according to this definition:

JaimeLoo! I miss you and want a Bloody Mary.

Couldn't drink last night bc I had a movie date and wine makes me sleepy/affectionate. Glad you could pour one out for the homie.

Date was fun. We watched "Into The Wild" ... awesome movie and I highly recommend it. Anyway, this guy is pretty cool. We're supposed to go out again on Wednesday. Not sure what we're doing.

He also wants to take me camping next weekend, but I may have a trip to NYC ... what to do? I think I should take it slowly and go to NYC with the gf instead.

when i moved here, i figured i'd be going a lot

since it's like a $10 train ride away

there's been a surprisingly low number of trips, which is rather dissapointing

yea, i'm like a four hour train ride from there, so i'd like to get there more often. i'm planning on taking two friends up there in the spring (one friend has only been in this country for about 5 years, so she's got a better excuse)

should be a fun trip

^^^^ Boo. We have no discounts in the city that weekend. NYC is one of the cities where it's harder for us to get decent discounts on the weekends ... and occupancy is generally high this time of year. Sorry! But if you travel again after Christmas, let me know and I'll hook you up.

And my discount applies to W, Westin, St. Regis, Sheraton, Luxury Collection, aloft and a few other brands, so just let me know. I'm dying to stay at St. Regis New York.

well i was contemplating rolling it into a quasi surprise christmas present,

instead of just a day trip, make a super nice dinner reservation, a night at a place like the w, something of the sort.

right now, i dont have many ideas

^^ Agreed. I'm too spoiled from work to go below 3.5 on priceline. I'm used to staying at W and Westin hotels for 60 bucks a night. It's hard to go back to anything less.

^ Awwww. Where to for dinner? I'm dying to EAT in NYC.
