A pretty fitting end to the season. Pelfrey pitches well but has no offense to support him. 14 innings, and none other than Oliver Perez loses it.

Torre has ruled himself out. I wouldn't mind seeing Backman in a Mets unifrom again, but please no Bobby Valentine. He had a pool of talent in 2002 and dug it into a hole 6 feet under.

It may sound gimmicky but I don't think an entire coaching staff of players from the 86 team would be such a bad thing.

Let's get Hernandez and Darling out of the booth and onto the bench.
