I never really had an opportunity to draft. When I lost position, it was due to an error on my part and the lead gained was too much for me to recover and get to a draftable position. But yeah, my max speed was set at 137, and i feel like that helped

the f1 probably has a ok reward... 50-100k or so...

better than the 20 something before.....

still sucks though, they need to have them be worth more than what's going on right now... at least 300k for the upper end races and ~100 for the lower... otherwise i'd rather just grind like the wind........

the online race was pretty fun, got hosed on the first corner by the snafu, and bit my own ass by picking up 2 other penalties.....

my cornering setup was obviously subpar as i lost, at best ~2 seconds a lap to the leader.

^^do you seriously only win 50-100k per event for the Ferrari F1 challenge? You can't be serious...I mean you have to buy the damn car(s) for $10-12.5 million. FML.


The online race was a lot of fun! Though I kinda ran away with it We'll enact some weight penalties or something in the future. BTW I had my transmission set to top out at 137 but never exceeded 118 in the race itself (which was fine b/c 117 mph or so corresponds to my peak power).

yeah, I only got about 75-80k total for the 4wd races, and I went ahead and bought myself a bad ass r34 and sup-ed it up for it (not that i needed to, but it is always one of my favorite cars to have). I lost about 100k doing those races

yeah i want to pick up another ctr2, i like keeping one example stock and then modding the remaining one (referring to the permanent mods)

that's been one of the very annoying things about gt5, in gt4 and gt3 you could get the prize car over and over, and sell it over and over (also you got some prize cars that were very good to sell) i would b-spec run the german touring car series in gt4 over and over, get about 300k in prize money and 1.2 mill on the prize car. made for much much faster grinding.... made money much less the limiting factor.... now it's money and 'experience' which for b spec is good, but for a-spec is weak.

i want more LMP and LMS cars and select older cars just because they are fun and add variety, (the 787 drives much differently than the gt-1 for instance) but now it's just drudgery. I can't even DO the endurance races until i play for (at this rate now) probably over a year...

also, needs more f1 cars, about 10 or so over the years, would be very nice... (remembering back to gt3)

28/29 or so, i think i just ticked over to 29.... i back on you in b-spec by 3 levels (21)

i would have liked a blended mix of events, or a prize car for each mini series, or a prize car ticket, or SOMETHING.... i dunno. i like that they added more races but they seem to just be repeats of beginner, amateur, and pro level events.... (all except for the historic car series were kinda snoozers)

You have to drive the everliving shit out of your B-Spec drivers to level up. I had my B-Spec chumps racing last night for 4 hours (5 races total) and my overall experience level barely moved. And these were all Expert races (Japanese Super GT & European Championship). I've got 4 drivers right now, levels 22, 20, 19 and 17. And the guy that's rated at 22 is being a real asshole. His mood has been negative (down arrow) all week.

I bought the lambo and ferrari for their respective races in the professional series (although I probably would have bought them eventually anyway)

Race anywhere feature is lame... pre-set scenarios with low payout and slight experience. gained. No real game progress made (and you have to have friends who have online drivers to race against)

highly disappointing (unless someone figured out the trick to do something else online....)

although I guess it is better than nothing and a good way to at least level up your drivers

fwiw- my PSN ID is Tater_926 for anyone that wants to add me so we can race our bspec drivers against each other. so far only one of my friends has racers uploaded that I can race (and I think you get experience if other people race against your racers). dunno... this is still new, and I'm gonna go tinker around with it

You can use it in practice mode, or some online races but that's it. I wouldn't recommend getting it unless you have credits hanging out your ass, lol

I'm dreading doing the FGT champ. I have a nasty tendancy to eat tires, at a much faster rate than the AI, apparently if i get a 45 second+ lead i can swap shoes and get out still in first... which is a plus...

anyone notice if they 'fixed' tire wear? (as in softs lasting just as long as hards?) i rather hope they didn't as that will give me a notable edge in that set....
