There was a nice editorial piece in the Daily Tar Heel yesterday in response to the article on Wilson a few days back. The original article was posted here, but for those of you who missed it, it was basically saying that NCSU was ridiculous for honoring Wilson on Senior Day. The editorial pretty much called the author of the original article "petty" and that Wilson is one of the best players in the ACC and the NCAA right now, and he deserves to get the same kind of honor any other leaving player would get. Actually, there are a few of them:

That one isn't a big deal to me. When I was a sports guy at Technician, we'd regularly include some kind of article about the team we were about to face. Nate Irving is certainly a big story for us.

The first column though, I didn't understand why it mattered enough for a DTH column in the first place, and then I didn't understand why we were so outraged about it.

I just have a feeling they're gonna beat the shit out of us this year, we've beat them 3 years but this is their year!!! UNC by 30. Their defense is just too good for us. And its gonna suck even more since they're missing so many players too. I already feel like im going to have to call in sick on Monday because of all the Tarheel fans here at work.

they have a good linebacking corps, but their secondary is about like our secondary was last year. Their defensive line is solid, but they have almost zero depth, so they will wear down as the game progresses.

If we avoid allowing big plays while we are on defense, I think we can grind one out.
