how did they choke like that?

I get that people get "nervous", but aren't you paid to be the handfull of people that don't choke? That was like watching a college team collapse at the end... unbelieveable.

Texas shouldn't have pinch hit for the pitcher in the top of the 11th. I think Washington was thinking that he NEEDED to get a run or two because St. Louis had the mojo...but that pitcher was throwing pretty well. If he could have held them at bay for one inning the top of the lineup is due in the 12th.

Oh well...shouldn't have gotten to that point. Tonight's game should be fun. Just hope Texas doesn't come out flat and depressed because they didn't end shit last night.

yeah, who was it at top of the 11th again? I don't remeber...

And how many "guns" will they have in the bullpen tonight? I am assuming that the cards will still call on Motte.

Texas has CJ Wilson, Cardinals have Lohse and Jackson. So starters can be used.

As someone who deserted baseball during the 94 strike, I'll say last night's game was probably the most exciting baseball game I remember watching.

^^he also dropped an easy fly ball that caused one run that I know of (can't rememeber) so good job to him for redeeming himself.

yeah he did, and he was being way too casual about it too.

[Edited on October 28, 2011 at 2:53 PM. Reason : casual about catching it, not about dropping it]

mike napoli is lucky this is the final game of the season if he ends up playing tonight. i sprained my ankle like he did once, and the next morning it was impossible to put much weight on it. i won't be surprised if he's not in the game, honestly.

But this guy also has every possible medical treatment available to him. They have a way of reducing the swelling and pain with these things to allow to him to last an extra day or two.

i'm sure they'll give him some great pain killers and a shot of something, but after tonight he probably won't be able to do much until christmas.

No kidding this umpire has been all over the place tonight but there really shouldn't even be a game 7. The momentum for the Cardinals and the rangers ability to walk a ton of batters will win this game.

I wanted the rangers to win, but to tell you the truth I'm just glad baseball is over.

After this weekend we don't have to hear about it anymore!
