Which school is QB U right now? from ESPN insider
Honorable mentions: When one ventures to compile a best-of list, a number of qualified and worthy suitors tend to be snubbed.
Two weeks ago, Bobby Petrino and the Arkansas Razorbacks would have cracked the top five here, without question. Petrino's résumé of well-groomed passers at Louisville, as well as his work with Ryan Mallett and Tyler Wilson, would have had the Razorbacks ahead of Stanford at No. 3; unfortunately, his transgressions have left a gaping hole to be filled in Fayetteville.
Landry Jones and the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft were once mentioned in the same breath, and although he's a defensive guy at heart, Bob Stoops has built his Oklahoma Sooners program around the arm of his star quarterbacks.
North Carolina State Wolfpack offensive coordinator Dana Bible played a major role in the development of Russell Wilson, and according to Luginbill has "Mike Glennon on the path to being a first-round pick next April."

i am afraid of this first game. its like every year under TOB our defense starts out sh!tting the bed even though our offense has enough of their sh!t together (vice versa RWs first year). 4/17/2012 8:51:00 AM |

Did you watch our season opener at South Carolina? The exact opposite happened. That was RW's second year, and one of the ugliest offensive games you'll ever see 4/17/2012 9:59:38 AM |

After losing its first three games against FBS opponents, NC State won six of its last eight. Coach Tom O’Brien has 16 returning starters, including senior quarterback Mike Glennon, senior tailback James Washington and four offensive linemen with a total of 90 career starts. NC State could be 4-0 when it goes to Miami on Sept. 29. Florida State comes to Raleigh the following week." |

IIRC, both games were pretty ugly offensively for us. The first year at SC we were shut out, then the second at home we only scored 3 pts. 4/17/2012 11:29:23 AM |

Ahhh, I got my locations mixed up, but the game in Raleigh (RW's 2nd year) was a pure offensive shitfest. The score was 7-3 and Wilson had 74 yards passing.4/17/2012 1:25:49 PM |

Also, not on topic, but NC State vs. KU in 2003 Tangerine Bowl on ESPN Classic right now! Philip Rivers!!!
Damn, that was a great game. Chuck leaving in Philip to get his most passing yards record. We straight SMASHED the Jayhawks with the INT at the end by G. Heath to seal the game.

I thought I had the option of staying on a friends couch. But the few friends I have in Atlanta are all traveling to the beach for the holiday weekend...while I'll be leaving the beach to go to Atlanta.
Are all the good hotel options dried up?? 4/18/2012 9:20:55 AM |

Aren't there like 10 other things going on that weekend?? Nascar (plus the Clemson/auburn fans already have their hotels booked)...I feel like I'm missing something else.
Seriously...people have been bitching about getting a decent hotel close to the stadium. 4/18/2012 9:25:43 AM |

There's always something going on in Atlanta, but I doubt it will prove prohibitive to finding somewhere to stay. I don't plan on booking anything till late summer, and I'm sure I'll be fine. 4/18/2012 9:28:13 AM |

A LOT of hotels have already filled up. Most within walking distance of the stadium are close to full. I booked a room at Holiday Inn Select Atlanta Capital Conference Center about a month ago. I'd grab a room early and not risk it. 4/18/2012 11:14:30 AM |

NC State is at No.31 !!!1111!!1111!!!
"This 60,000 seat stadium was built in 1966 and is quite possibly one of the best two stadiums in the ACC.
The atmosphere here is certainly one of the best in the conference. The crowd is constantly loud and rowdy before, during and after the game.
They have sold out of season tickets here for nine straight years, making this one of the most difficult places to play in the ACC." 4/20/2012 6:20:12 PM |
