Yep. The easy thing to do would have been to make that tension the focal point of the remaining episodes. I think it was great to get it out of the way right off the bat.

i like how when Hank walks outside at the beginning of the episode, when he says he's not feeling 100% and they leave, the first thing you hear when he opens the door is Marie telling Walt "you are the devil"

^^Yeah, I like how everything was muffled and that is the first thing you could actually understand from the conversation.

I also enjoyed how just after that there was almost an identical Carol scene from the opener to drive home exactly how badly things are about to go for Walt.

It is crazy but they are 4 1/2 seasons in at this point and you'd be hard pressed to find 5 minutes of filler footage from the entire series.

I do have to say, they fooled me by having "scenes from the next episode at the commercial break of the next show". DVRing it made that not happen.
