^^I know they're student-athletes so it's different. But it's ridiculous that RPD and NCSU work together so much.

If you get caught drinking underage off-campus, you're already going to be in trouble with the law, and then Student Conduct gets involved. So you can end up paying a fine/taking alcohol classes/doing community service for the criminal justice system and going to meetings/taking alcohol classes on probation from the University.

It's not different for athletes, if you meet a cop in the Raleigh and look young enough to be a college student they always ask, "Are you a student" and ask where. I always just said no.

It is different for athletes because they are held to a higher standard of conduct than regular students, and they can lose their scholarships and stuff.

Also, you were apparently smart to lie to the police. I'm saying that they shouldn't ask about your student status at all.
