The heat are still vulnerable theyre just so freaking old.

Lot of injury potential with wade and Chalmers/battier/bosh arent reliable.

Chicago with the emergence of jimmy butler is dangerous.

Houston on paper is the best team in the league if dwight is healthy.

Okc is right there if jackson emerges and scott brooks quits killing them with perk/fisher.

Sas will be strong again unless parker/duncan slip.

Indiana has potential if george makes the leap to greatness, hibbert reaches his potential, or Stephenson continues to develop into a stud.

Heat just fire Mike Miller for a younger player.

Dropping Miller hurts a little too.

If grizz or clippers can make one more addition they are strong too.

And igou for barnes is an enormous upgrade for gsw. If they can just stay healthy they are dangerous.

New jersey is a decent reg season team but not sure they can compete in post season. That joe johnson acquisition was just a nightmare for their roster.

Heat need some experienced players. Ray Allen and Shawn Battier help them a lot in the Finals. But I agree that NBA is become younger than before. There probably won't be another Jordan or Malone who played till their 40s'.

Battier was abysmal in the playoffs and finals. Guy couldn't have played much worse.

Ray will be like 39 and has balky ankles. Cant count on him to be healthy again.

^ You hate Battier? You forget his 3 point shots in game 7?
Ray still is valuable for Heat. His long shots can still save them at the biggest moment. Especially they just waived Mike Miller, a shooter.

Why is Karl Malone just entering HOF while Stockton is already there for 4 yrs?

^ Well Malone played a little longer than Stockton so that has something to do with it. Also Malone went into the HOF in 2010 so I don't know what you are talking about "just entering"

NBA.com just post a vid on review of his career. So I'm surprised that he hasn't been there yet.

I can understand why Milwaukee didn't wanna pay jennings but I cant understand why theyd want brandon knight. Guy is just absolutely terrible. At least jennings has potential.

Milwaukee showing some nice discipline not resigning jennings or Ellis and building around ilyasova and sanders.

Bucks has very close connections with Beijing Ducks. IMO, this team is pretty ambitious. They always want to do something big although it's a relatively small city. For example, pursuing Yi Jianlian in 2007.

Pistons should easily make the playoffs next year. Detroit, Atlanta, Cleveland, and Washington are probably the only teams in the running for the 6-8 seeds. Everyone else is balls deep in the 2014 draft tankfest.

The east is pretty shitty no doubt.

Miami is a cut above and Brooklyn, Indy, chicago are pretty good. The knicks regressed but are probably still a playoff team if chandler is healthy.

I agree with the teams you listed except add Toronto they improved a good bit by shedding bargnani and adding some talent

LBJ is interested in joining Knicks in 14. After grabbing the leg of Wade, he's now turning to Melo.

That's idiotic.

Carmelo will be a FA at the same time, and IF they did play together there is absolutely no way that Melo would defer to Lebron. Outside of Kobe he's the most selfish player in the league. I can't see Lebron gambling his future on that panning out.

At this point it doesn't make any sense for Lebron to do anything but re-sign with the Heat because there isn't a single person that he should trust with his future and bringing in the right pieces besides Riley in the game right now.

He knows as long as Pat is pulling the strings the Heat will be right there every single year.

And Lebron is a pass-first guy, so it might work out

Once Lebron bangs all 100,000 of the 18-25 year old women in Miami, I could see him setting his sights on the Big Apple

He's not a pass first guy, he's a guy that can pass first. Big difference there.

I'm sorry I just can't see Lebron going there. Vastly inferior front office and a definite downgrade in coaching there too.

Maybe Melo goes to Miami if anything.

I doubt he ends up in New York. But I think Lebron is definitely a pass first guy. I mean he takes it to the rack when he needs to, but he's always looking to dish it out.

Lebron almost always seems to want to get everyone else involved before he turns it on and takes over on his own.

He tries to differ himself from MJ and KB by that.
Actually that's the correct way to play basketball. See European bball, or Asian bball. They emphasize on teamwork. LBJ lead the NBA to globalized play.

Pretty much 0% chance of LeBron in new york.

Theyre in cap hell between bargnani, stoudamire, and carmelo being ridiculously overpaid. Plus chandler max deal.

again, the coolest thing LeBron could do for the rest of his career would be to take a series one of year deals, jumping each season to a moribund, small market team, instantly turning them into title contenders

imagine if he made deep playoff runs with the Kings, Bucks, Raptors, Bobcats, T'Wolves, etc in consecutive seasons

it'd be the biggest individual achievement in professional sports history

He even can't win a title with help of Oneal at Cleverland. How could he improve those weak teams? He highly relies on his teammates.
Jordan already did what u say I think. He helped Wizard a lot.

That is the biggest troll post ever.

Washed up shaq went to Cleveland to leech off LeBron. Shaq wasnt even very good in miami.

Jordan was okay in Washington but they didnt even go .500.

Cleveland went from 62 wins to 20 when he left. LeBron single handedly makes any team in the league a playoff team and all but ~5 would be title contenders. ( Sacramento, Charlotte, orlando, Phoenix)

What would you say Lebrons WAR is? As in, how many wins would you automatically boost a team up just for him being in the starting lineup?

And I think he will either resign with the heat or go back to Cleveland after next season. I can't see him playing for the lakers behind Kobe's shadow, but what the fuck do I know, I thought he would stay in Cleveland the first time

When Jordan left to play baseball, the Bulls did not fall off much.

The question here while comparing Jordan and Lebron is not how worse the team becomes without their best player, but how much better they can get their team to be( how many rings could Lebron have won with the 90s Bulls?)

[Edited on August 3, 2013 at 9:45 PM. Reason : MJ - SG and Lebron - SF , replace Jordan with Wade and Pippen with Lebron and compare ]

Last year statistically lebron was worth only 20 wins but I suspect its actually closer to 30 on a really bad team when hed play more minutes and have to close out more games instead of coasting to so many easy wins.

I think the idea of LeBron & Melo on the same team isn't a very good idea. It may work for the national team, but they play generally the same position, even though LeBron can be more versatile.

Melo is a power forward, while LBJ is more of a small forward and shooting guard. So it's not bad to put them together. But the question is, can Lakers afford them ?

they were saying kobe would take the a paycut and maybe the minimum only if they had a deal to sign BOTH of those guys. i think the rest of the team is gone next year anyway so of course they would have the money.
