ROY voting should end up like this:

1. RG3
2. Muscle Hamster
3. Everyone else

Yeah, if it wasn't for the fact that Luck is putting up monster numbers and has the best record of any of the rookie QBs I'd say it would be RGIII and Doug Martin.

However, unless Luck shit's the bed the Colts are going to be in the playoffs, the others are not, so he'll win ROY.

Also 7th in passing yards, and asked to do more than any other rookie QB.

3,600 yards and 17 passing TD and 5 rushing TD

those are pretty solid stats with 4 games remaining

Yards don't make up for ints, lack of TDs, and poor passer rating.

I assume you're talking about the Redskins, because the combination of Vick Ballard and Donald Brown is nowhere near being a top ten RB.

Luck already set the record for most passing yards in a game by a rookie (433) and will shatter Cam's rookie record for passing yards in a rookie season

NPR, which is for people who at best don't care about sports at all, did a piece on ROY candidates. Wilson wasn't even mentioned.

Wilson only gets attention from people that are forced to pay attention.

At State, he was 3rd on the depth chart and had a break out spring game. We had to pay attention.

At Wisconsin, they brought him in and he had an amazing offseason. They had to pay attention.

At Seattle, they were paying a ton of money to another qb, but Wilson massively outperformed him. They had to pay attention.

He's not flashy, he's just a guy who gets his shit done. That team could make the superbowl with the poise and confidence he possesses and he still won't get the credit. The hawks defense is good for 3 quarters. They have been routinely burned in the 4th quarter when it matters. RW doesn't need to be "the man" on that team, but he could if he needed to.

RW has come out of practically nowhere to have a very solid season for the Seahawks. Doesn't play like a rookie. Helps them win. And being a solid NFL starter in your first season is very impressive.

What he's not done is put the entire team on his shoulders like RGIII or Luck.

so does he really have the best rookie QB stats? cause I don't ever hear shit about him, just luck and RGIII

depends on which stats you look at.

RW has more TD passes than the other two.

other than that, most other typical stats (passing yards, rushing yards, completion%, INTs, W/L), will have Luck or RGIII with the best numbers of the three.

Not to say there isn't an argument. Clearly RW, Luck, and RGIII, are the best rookie QBs this year. If i'm being as unbiased as I can be, I'd give RoY to RGIII.

I tend to agree. I see another Dalton vs Newton debate now that Wilson/Luck are showing up and winning games, but it will be hard to compete with the highlight reel flair of RGIII despite his overall worse team record, especially given the ESPN knob slobbing.

Not to mention Indy plays in a weak AFC and Seattle has an overall better cast around their QB in terms of a rushing game and great defense.

RGIII is all the skins have.

I think Doug Martin ends up in the top 3 for rookie of the year. One of the QBs is gonna have a stinker the last couple of weeks and slide out.

Doug Martin #3 in rushing yards and T-2 for rushing TDs as a rookie on, pretty much, a bad team.

It's not Griffin's fault the Redskins don't have a better record than they do.

Against the Rams, they were in position for a tying field goal at the end of the game until Josh Morgan went full retard and threw a ball at Courtland Finnegan and knocked them out of field goal range.

Against the Bengals, they were around the 20 yard line with the potential for a tying TD when the LG was called for a false start while the clocked was stopped with less than 10 seconds to go, the replacement refs incorrectly ran the clock down (would've been correct if the clock was not already stopped), Kyle Shanahan flipped out on the refs who gave him a 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and then they incorrectly added an additional 5 yards, making it a total loss of 25 yards which greatly decreased the chances of getting a TD.

Against the Falcons, he got knocked out early in the third forcing the other rookie QB into action who then threw two picks.

And against the Giants, he threw a go-ahead TD with less than two minutes remaining, but on the ensuing Giants drive, the FS had the mental lapse of a lifetime and let Victor Cruz get behind him for a 77 yard TD.

Basically...if the Redskins didn't have the 29th ranked defense and the replacement refs didn't suck so fucking hard (and gift Seattle a win while they were at it), Griffin would probably have the Skins at 8-4 right now and he would clearly be the frontrunner for ROY.

^Substitute in Newton and Panthers for last year and you get the same result. Debate last year was that Dalton was a proven QB and got his team into the playoffs as a rookie, whereas Newton was a super flashy, record shattering QB on a shit team. Newton ended up winning.

IMO Luck has looked the worst of the three. He makes some awful throws sometimes that make you just scratch your head.

Like I said earlier, I think ROY should be Griffin, then Martin.

Wilson is quietly having a great rookie season, but isn't going to win any awards for it. Just a super bowl, maybe.

^^ you think they didn't intentionally take a dive on the season to get the first pick?

plus they got rid of Jim Caldwell. We saw what happened when the colts became his team and not Peyton's.

^i think they started off as just a terrible team...they couldve brought in a veteran QB and maybe won a couple more games, but both of their wins were late in the season...the rams also finished 2-14 last year, so they couldve done a better job of tanking

RG3 is the ROY.

Luck is pretty good, but the Colts have the second luckiest record in the league this year based on easy schedule and close wins. They're a below average team that will get deep dicked in the playoffs.

Wilson has been on fire the last month and has placed Seattle one tier below the elite teams this year (SF, NE, Denver are far above the rest of the league).

I took Seattle at 50:1 last week to win SB, a little more at 35:1 this week , along with 17:1 to win the nfc. Total payout close to $5k. They are easily the most underrated team in the league and have a legitimate shot to win it all. Easy remaining schedule nearly ensures they make the playoffs and the NFC is becoming increasingly wide open now that the Bears have stumbled, falcons are imploding, and packers/giants can't get fully in gear. Not to mention kaepernick looks great now, but you never know how he'll fare as teams get more film on him and the pressure mounts in the playoffs.

Wilson just isn't making mistakes. His recent numbers are off the chart.

^^ you don't get it. What I'm saying is they are really more like a 4-8 team with an 8-4 record. They could be the worst team to make the playoffs ever. They won't be competitive.

Im up to about $6k if seahawks win the super bowl. half of that if they just win the nfc.

Luck isn't having near as good a season as griffin. The redskins have one of the absolute worst defenses in the league, and yet they are still in the playoff hunt.

Luck makes more mistakes/bad throws than griffin. Griffin is having a better year, without a doubt.

RW: 7/13, 148 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT

and his TEAM won 58-0

imagine Luck or RG3 on that team
