FYI - for the beer drinkers... Just left the GT/FSU game and there is a beer tent in right field behind the playground called the "Fan Lounge". Only place in the stadium that sells beer.

In the other pool, #2 Florida State lost to #7 Georgia Tech, then announced sometime after the game that starting 3B Jose Brizuela (who played today) is suspended indefinitely and sent him home... oops.

Be glad. They didn't have anything last year when it was in Greensboro. Also if you don't have tickets you can watch the game from the tobacco rd patio and drink all kinds of beer.

Good game tonight. Stone went deep enough in the game and Easley did excellent holding Clemson to 1 run when they loaded the bases. Of course the key for us was getting the runs when we loaded the bases. The HR from Clemson in the 9th was a bomb. It was bull height when it went between the bull and Tobacco Road, but luckily it was only a solo shot and we had the insurance runs. Hopefully tonight's outing gives Stone much needed confidence going into the Regional.

Miami up next at 11am on Friday. Miami will face UNC today at 3pm.

When is Rodon expected to start? I assume the UNX game? Normal rest and more important game.

Unless UNX loses to Miami and Clemson and we have Sunday already locked up.

I like that call. It gives him some innings before the regional where we may need 4 pitchers anyway and allows us to switch out Ogburn and Rodon depending on if we need the Saturday game to reach the championship game.

I've heard Miami is saving their ace pitcher, Chris Diaz, for us. Second-lowest ERA in the ACC at 1.58.

Provided Rodon pitches well against UNC, having Jernigan give us some quality innings tomorrow is pretty big if we can get to Sunday. It'd be nice to have a well rested bullpen ready behind Ogburn.

Hope we can knock around Miami for an easy win tomorrow like UNC just did.

UNC did beat Miami earlier in the season 14-2, so today's game isn't so shocking, especially with who Miami threw. We'll obviously face someone better.

They won 10-0 in the 8th. ACC tourney has a 10 run rule and it has to be at least the 7th inning. Title game doesn't have the run rule.

The main debate for us getting a national seed comes from whether or not the committee would give the ACC four national seeds. Most people are saying no, so FSU bombing helps us, but of course we have to take care of business and at least get to Sunday. I think Louisville dying the the Big East Tourney helps Indiana more than us.

The key for us is if we don't get a national seed is getting paired with someone out west like Oregon or Oregon State because we'll stand a better chance against them than Vandy or LSU.
