this.

Johnny Football lived up to the hype today, the kid delivered. If A&M had a defense worth a fuck, would have game over. Alabama won on the score board but Johnny won the rest.

Manziel gave up an interception in the redzone and a pick-6. His gunslinger antics cost them the game just as much as it kept them in the running.

He also kissed his bicep in the first quarter, which is 100% hilarious.

And y'all know what else is hilarious? Ramsey from the Bud Light commercial.

This. Similar to Philip Rivers carrying the SD team but his mistakes end up being costly. Both of them try to do too much

Yeah, clearly the 10 points he gave up in those two instances outweigh the 5 TDs he had in the game.

Right, because the mythical QB they had waiting in the wings would have thrown/run for just as many TDs with no turnovers.

Clearly the 42 points given up by A&M's defense had no role in the loss either. Could you possibly be more of a myopic retard?

and in your mind, Manziel turning the ball over had nothing to do with Alabama dominating the time of possession and wearing out their defense.

He played well, but he wasn't even the best quarterback in the game today.

Only in your mind is a 60/40 time of possession split "dominating". Manziel didn't play flawlessly but that's a ridiculous expectation for any player.

as much as they talked about him, you'd think he'd be the best quarterback in the game. McCarron looked like the better quarterback most of the game.

Manziel is a complete badass, but also a cocky asshole, not that I can really blame him for that based on his skills

But the tipped interception, while still a turnover that he threw, was a tipped ball...not nearly as dumb a throw as his foolish fade route interception

Some of my SEC fan friends are saying this is the year their streak ends, and that Oregon will win it all...we will see

oregon is a joke. alabama would win championships in a row until saban quit or got caught in controversy in this format because its set up to make the best team win. recruiting is only getting better for him.

In the new format, they will get upset in a playoff.

They can beat anybody with months of preparation and will never lose 2 games to miss the national title game but in the playoff they will have to beat 2 or 3 teams like this in a row.

So I know they changed the push-out rule in the end zone thingy for NFL. But I was wondering about college--do they try to distinguish if a player was pushed out or not?

With that whole Wisconsin-ASU game, the thing I don't get is that with 18 seconds left and no timeouts, the Wisconsin QB was trying to take a knee. I assume they planned to take a knee, spike the ball, and then kick the fg? Otherwise there was not enough time to get the kicker on the field following the kneel down. Regardless though it was the QB's fault for fucking up a kneel down.

it was a major cluster. I haven't seen a clear enough image to show if he actually kneeled down or not. If he did in fact kneel, the refs should have blown the whistle to stop the clock while ASU was cuddling with the ball on the ground. If he didn't kneel, the refs should have indicated a fumble and ASU ball with a review coming shortly thereafter.

Either way, the refs screwed the pooch royally. Maybe Wiscy lines up the field goal and misses it anyways, who knows. But the refs screwed up in either situation.

The QB clearly got his knee on the ground (not that it matters, the rule says even simulating taking a knee counts).

The refs blew the whistle and you can see them waving the play dead in the video. They just fucked up by not calling delay of game on the ASU player.

This might be the worst Saturday of college football I can remember in at least 5 years. There are literally zero games that are nationally relevant. There is one top 25 matchup (Stanford vs. ASU) and a bunch of stinkers.

Wake Forest at Army is a clown show. West Point keeps fumbling and Wake can't score.

2-0 Army in the second quarter.

The goal line ref signaled a TD immediately, as the ball was recovered. Even if they called it a fumble I don't see how they could allow UNC to advance the ball, since a touchdown signal effectively means the play is dead.
