All-In Called with 8-High On a flop of 1075, Tim Rod bets $300 and his opponent raises to $600. Rod calls and the turn puts the 3 on the board. Rod again bets out with $1,500 and is again raised by his opponent to $4,000. Rod calls and the river puts the 3 on the board. Rod pushes all-in and his opponent immediately calls. Rod flips up KQ for a turned flush. His opponent says, "Do I have a straight flush? Oh, no I don't," as he shows 86 for 8-high. 7/28/2006 5:08:10 PM |

Pearljammer playing no-showdown poker by Lenny on 7/28/2006 16:31
It's hard to miss a 6'6" (give or take) redhead, especially when we have his picture in the Sunday major tourney report almost every week. Pearljammer has held no cards thus far, but has taken down a few pots the old fashioned way, by betting. 7/28/2006 5:35:54 PM |

Cash game question/discussion:
I was playing at a 6 handed table last night and dealt A6d in the SB. I called, and we have 5 players to the flop, which comes As 8d 2d.
I check. UTG best out the pot, which was called by the next 2 players, and now the action is on me. I raise to the pot amount. He immediately goes all in and has me covered. What is our move here? 7/31/2006 10:51:20 AM |

I assume that is Ad6d? I think people overvalue this hand all the time. I would rather flop middle or bottom pair with the flush draw than top pair, because you can't really count on another A as an out. Hell, he may even have A8 and all you have for outs are diamonds. But like it was said earlier, can't really give any good advice without $$$ info. 7/31/2006 11:00:40 AM |

.25/.50 online. My stack is $40 and his is about $60. Pot after the flop is $7. I then made it $14. With $33 left behind me and the total pot now at $67. Whats the move.
Yea, it is Ad6d. My bad on that. 7/31/2006 11:14:32 AM |

What the hell, I’ll give it a shot. You said after the flop you checked and UTG bet out so I assume this guy was big blind. He probably would have raised preflop with AA and most likely 88 as well, so that leaves us with a few hands to ponder.
2-2: With no raise preflop this guy can assume bottom set is pretty good. Also, since there was no raise prelfop I wouldn’t put anyone on the ace so being utg, I would probably go for a check raise or hope someone hits something on the turn as long as my set was still good.
8-2: Good flop, but over cards/pairs can quickly turn this hand into shit. I would probably bet the flop like this guy and be weary of a checkraise. If he is loose enough he’ll push all in and you have to call with all those outs
A-2 Another good flop for him. Once again, with two aces out do you put your opponents on anything? Do you really want to scare them all out on the flop? Even with the all in your 6 is still good or the 8’s could pair up killing his 2. Most likely another must call in this situation.
A-8 This is the only real hand you have to worry about. With this scenario you only have the flush draw and you have to hope he doesn’t boat up. Probably wouldn’t make the call here, but once again, pretty aggressive betting if he does have top two. Can you really put him on a hand this big? Even so, may even have pot odds to call with your draw.
KdXd He flops 2nd nut draw and bets it on the flop. Standard play. If he has a small stack he will probably just push all in after the reraise, but he should be worried about the 2 players behind him. What would they just call with? The chance of someone having the Ad is too high. He would probably just call if he had a big stack or maybe even let it go if your bet is large enough. 7/31/2006 11:23:07 AM |

call.
expecting to be behind occasionally but with a shitton of redraws.

i mean
you are almost getting odds to call w/o the pair...
but expect some of your diamonds to be dead.

Why I love playing .25/.50 online. Im in the SB and its folded to me. I have QQ and raise to .75. BB is a complete maniac and calls. Flop is AK2. Mehhhh.
I check, he bets out $2, I call. Turn is a J. He bets out $4, I call. River is a 10. Bing!
I bet out $8. He pushes all in for $44 on top. I hesitate to make sure there is no flush on board, and their isnt. I call. he turns over 65h. Haha.
He then proceeds to tell me I sucked out on him and that I hit a 4 outer to beat him. I guess he didnt realize that QQ beats 65.
Does anyone know how to get text versions of hands off of Full Tilt? I hate typing out all of these hands. 8/1/2006 10:23:18 AM |

I would fold if he goes all in on the river. But if he bets $4-6, im most likely going to call. He had been betting and raising like crazy since I had sat down and had been showing his bluffs. If he had any sort of a hand, he most likely would have re-raised me preflop- at least in my opinion. 8/1/2006 10:48:21 AM |
