I think this is an exceptional case in that we have had the worst record of all ACC teams since Lowe took over. I think it is very important to not overlook that fact when you are judging his credibility. I don't believe the talent on the team has been the worst in the ACC for the last 3 years.

The Duke game was close until about 4 minutes left when we couldn't run with them anymore (too tired)

same thing with UNC the second time around (when we lost by like 9)

am I contradicting myself? it all depends on how you look at it. I think we have okay talent, good enough so that we can win a few games, but no where near the talent of Duke/UNC/even marquette. I think that Lowe is 100 times better than Roy of an in game coach though (my best friend at UNC agrees with me). I don't have any doubts that he's better than Buzz. He may not be K, but he isn't a bad coach. As he starts getting classes like his next one in (with Brown and Wood) we'll be fine. I think we'll be improved next year, with 10 times as good guard play. Inside we may have depth issues, but otherwise we'll probably be fine

Next year is do or die for lowe. I hope more than anything else that fowler gets canned. It may not fix anything, but there is no way someone so incompetent should have a job.

The recruiting blowing up in Lowe's face is the biggest problem. Not getting used to handling college kids is next. Not being a good defensive coach is next. I think he is probably the best XOs coach we have had since V, which is not saying a lot.


We lost a bunch of games this year because we couldn't sense the inflection point in the game -- where the other team got desperate, elevated their intensity, and made an effective comeback. This is all outside of XOs, and our coach and team have to have the intuition to know how to preempt or react to that.

I don't care what tactic he uses (Calling a time out, motivational speech, changing defenses, executing a unique set of plays, putting on a press, calling a trap), you just have to find some way to make our players more aware of important situations on the floor.

Im not going into the great details we have heard them all before. The only
thing I got from it and I hope Im dead wrong is, no matter who we
