i had to run to the office this morning to check on things because we lost power and apparently had an issue with emergency power. it was fine really early this morning because it was cold enough that the icy sections had some traction, but driving home when the sun was out was a lot worse because the icy sections turned to slick slush.

I-40 is okay although not all lanes are clear in certain areas, busy side streets are okay-ish but other side streets are in bad shape.

Carrboro main roads were fine. Side roads were....okay in the sunny spots but a shit show in the shade. And my parking lot was a fucking nightmare. Took like 4 people to get my car pushed out even after I had cleaned out around it. Fun times!

The death sheets really need to have a large surface area:volume ratio so they soar through the air before landing, like the 5x10 plank that came off the van in front of me and exploded on the windshield of the car behind me. If you really want them to run off the road or cause a pile-up you have to be careful

Did you get out Shawna? I was the only one that had to go out on Friday at lunchtime. Getting out of the apartment complex was a pain in the ass. The side streets were still shitty in the shade but the main roads were pretty much clear. Should be good today.
