no, they don't get their info from twitter or message boards. several posters on here (and even more on PP) attend a lot of the practices and talk with the guys regularly on the phone or over lunch.

Probably so, but Lacey comes in with it and he will be better than any freshman we could land.

I hope Abu comes in prepared to start, but I'd be surprised to see him starting over our more experienced big men. Anya and Washington seem to be on the court at the same times a lot recently. Given the potential that Anya has shown, and after a off-season of conditioning, I wouldn't be surprised to see him and Kyle starting.

I don't see how Abu isn't freemans backup at the 4. I think the 5 would have to be Anya/Washington full time, so not many overlapping minutes, and not a whole lot of time for Abu, but freshman bigs aren't usually any good anyway

i'm not sure how much more turner can force shots. he's only really good as a set shooter. he took a lot more 2s at LSU and sucked at it so I'm hoping he just gets better at his current role

lacey is the key but I doubt there are 5 guys in college next season that could replace TJ on their own...hopefully washington is better next year as he isn't shy and maybe abu surprises. I guess Lee could pull a Derwin Kitchen and have a solid senior season after a nondescript first year out of JUCO

He's flat out better than Freeman, and he's a much better FT shooter so you don't have to pull him at the end of games.

^^Well, Turner's better at shooting twos than Scott Wood was. If you remove his three point attempts, he's shooting 48%.

^While I think you may be right, we don't know how Abu will adjust to college ball, and how much Freeman will improve by next year. He seems to have a really good work ethic.

Well one single player will not just step right in and shoot 20 times a game. We'll have to spread those shots around since nobody on next year's team will be able to score like Warren. Turner will be forced to shoot more. Lacey will have to shoulder some load offensively. Hopefully this year's freshmen big men are more polished offensively next year.

right, we're not trying to replace Warren. We should see a return back towards what we saw in Gott's first two seasons (balanced scoring, all starters average close to double-digit ppg)

Agree about Abu. Hearing he should be pretty good and get in the rotation, maybe start.

I'm not worried about replacing Warren's production...I don't think that will be difficult.

I'm only concerned with having the "go-to" guy when the shot clock and game clock is running down. And the guy we can go to for a bucket when we're in a drought.

With that being said...maybe 10 teams have a guy that can score like Warren...so we don't need another one of him. We just need one or two of the Turner/Lacey/Lee/Barber group to successfully step into that role.

I thought you said Barber was garbage, and he can't shoot, and will never improve to be the player Lewis is...and Lewis can't score, so I'm completely confused by Barber's presence on your list.

Turner came up with a clutch 3 towards the end of the game against UNC after Paige drained a 3. I won't say he's quite wood 2.0, but we'll be leaning heavily on him for production.

We're going to have two guys starting who aren't ACC caliber (Washington and Lewis), 2 SEC castoffs on the wings. The rest of our roster is an out of control bricklaying speedster, a terrible JUCO transfer, Fatanya, limited skills Freeman, and a bunch of unheralded freshman.

This team has the potential to be really, really bad.

They shot 59% FG, 50% from 3's, and 86% from FT. Were we guarding anyone?

I watched two games all season. Syracuse and UNC. Both were epic losses. And the rest of the season we did nothing.

Chalk that up as a great decision. I'm certainly not watching next season either. This is like career mode on a video game where you just hit simulate until you get a good squad that's worth playing with.

Probably won't watch football season either. Maybe one game just to see if Brissett sucks.

its just a myth. clemson and virginia don't have terrible offense. they just have inferior talent and coaches that know they can only win if they slow the pace of the game down.

we don't even have great offense. tj is great but thats about it. the uva offense is better than ours.

All they did was ball screen us until we broke, and that was usually the second ball screen. Even when we hedge, the PG still gets a good drive to the basket. That's how Paige beat us.
