So what does Haith to Mizzou mean for State? Obviously Haith wasn't on our radar...I wonder, does that mean Shaka wasn't interested in Mizzou at all...or was his asking price too high?

Frank Haith is not a good coach. Before offseason firings, I considered him the 3rd worst coach in the ACC...ahead of Hewitt and Lowe. I would have thought Mizzou could have done better than Haith.

The Missouri AD sounds like a moron and this was their panic Sidney Lowe hiring. I can't think of a historic Missouri player they could've brought in instead so I guess their guy was Haith

It could be worse, guys. At least we had Calipari (and this time Donovan) as pipe dreams, their equivalent was Matt Painter

Frank Martin WANTS that job

But I heard he makes 1.5 at K State. No chance Miami and their cheap Athletic Department ponies up for him

He is from Miami, I understand his extensive history with the city of Miami, but they won't offer him nearly what K-State will, and he won't leave for less money with such a good thing going on.

No students at Miami care about the basketball team

(or recent football that much for that matter)

Always wondered why you would bother showing the men's coach Reynolds.

"Here's Reynolds Coliseum, where you might play one meaningless game per season."

I'd say more along the lines of "Here's Reynolds Coliseum, where Everett Case, Norm Sloan, and Jim Valvano coached teams that owned the ACC and won National Championships. Will you be the one who brings us back to that level of success?"

^^I doubt it's on any "tour itinerary," but if it were, I'd assume it'd be more to show the deep history and heritage of NCSU basketball. Also to show the strong ties to the Southern Conference and the ACC, being that it was the original home to the ACC tourney and there have been some historic games played there.

^yep

I agree about the coaching thing, I just like underdogs; especially seeing them make it to the finals two years in a row.

Raycom reporting that Yow and Barnes met over the weekend while he was in NC with his family.

Not that I trust Raycom, but they had to get it from somewhere....

Yea...obviously there's no shot regardless but I have to think at this point that winning the Title would give him a "my work is done here" type feeling more than losing would make him want to move on. I think making the final game back to back is more than enough proof that he can compete at the highest level despite playing the Horizon League

Difference of opinion. I tend to think $$$ and the current venue are a bigger draw to our school than the women's gym. Good for a stroll down memory lane, other than that, meh.

I see you turned around on Shaka though, good for you!!!

^^ I just said what's the point of bothering with Reynolds, since the new coach really wouldn't be using it. That was in response to the "heightened security" at Reynolds. It's like, why bother with all that, just go offsite to seal the deal. It's not like taking a look at Reynolds is going to have any impact on if the guy takes the job or not.

Because maybe the coach wants to see a cool-ass basketball building.

It's not like we're throwing him in the trunk of Yow's Accord and dragging him in.

WHY'S THE COACH WANNA SEE CAMPUS

NOT LIKE HE'S GOING TO CLASSES LOLOLOL

[Edited on April 4, 2011 at 9:45 AM. Reason : It's not going to seal the deal, no one said that. But it's nice to see our fucking history.]

Any coach who wouldn't be interested in seeing Reynolds can gtfo imo. That's THE biggest part of our basketball history.
