and because the iPhone has gotten people to actually use the features of their phone. A lot of people before the iPhone (exception of the BB crowd) just used their phone for calls and txts. What an ignorant fucking statement. So companies like Sony Ericsson, Nokia, and even Moto-fucking-rola had shitty cameras that didn't compare to the iPhone's 2MP (non autofocus, w/ no flash)? Give me a break. People have been using cybershot phones as a replacement for point-and-shoot cameras for a while now. And in case you weren't aware, MMS has worked for most of these phones where the "quality if awful" since MMS was first introduced.

I'm fully aware of these phones you speak of. I've owned every decent to top end phone Sony Ericsson has come out with and as cool as they were then...most of the features just were not used on a regular basis except to test the phone out. Unlike most people I actually enjoy messing around with new gadgets and even then the phones got old and were just used for making calls and txts. You can't argue that any other phone has brought all these features together as well as the iPhone. And now the google phones etc.

yea they have a tiny tiny market share in the US but they do ok in Europe/Asia. Also Sony Ericsson =/= Sony. IMO Sony does a much better job with branding/marketing.

does anyone else use the White Noise app? I usually need a fan on to sleep, i like the breeze and sound. But i turned WN on with a 20 minute timer and knocked out almost instantly. The rain storm was awesome.

yes, quite a lot of people have reported battery life issues. Apple is supposedly hard at work on fixing it -shrug-

i usually charge mine every night. i generally keep it unplugged the rest of the day. my battery usually depletes about 1/3 on a light usage day and dies around 7pm on a heavy day

So I had my 3G replaced a month ago because of the vibrate toggle switch and it was beat to hell.

Well I just tried the same in nova because the switch broke again after a week and the dork behind the counter found a scratch on the same side as the switch and declared it was the cause and wouldn't give me a new one. Bullshit. I'll try again at a different store or wait til I get back to Raleigh.

Well that went well. Walked in with a cracked screen and they said the phone is out of warranty but they'll go ahead and replace the screen for us for free anyway. So they swapped out screens while we waited.

If i remember correctly, the last time there was a carrier update it was via iTunes. But I am not 100% on that. I do remember getting a notification about needing a carrier update that was available.

^^^i've had MMS working for over a week and i've had them come through about 18 hours after being sent before. same when sending too.

^read. you can jailbreak 3.1. and you don't have to upgrade to do this upgrade. it's a carrier file update, not a firmware update.
