seriously, there are very few prospects left. We got a great haul already this year. It would be great to cap it off with some elite talent, but we missed. But you're acting like we've got absolute shit for talent already in this class.

I'm not blaming the players soley. Certainly not shitting on the players by any means.

I'm blaming the combination of a shitty situation he inherited with players that aren't right for his system, combined with a marginal first couple classes to address our needs, combined with some underperforming players, combined with Sid learning how to be a college coach.

I just don't think we need to fly off the handle and fire the guy, that's all. I think it'd be lunacy.

And next year's class won't sign for another year. We've been involved with tons of prospects next year, its just way early in the cycle to hear about. It fucking BLOWS that Leslie decommitted, but we could still get him, and we're in decent shape with Cothron, too. As well as McCarter.

Nobody....I mean nobody....is ok with our situation. The people that want to wait are saying it could potentially get worse. And it could.


Plus...if we are going to continue shooting for top 10 recruits year in and year out, but missing while landing top 20 classes....I'll take my chances with Lowe. Jesus christ. Lorenzo Brown and richard Howell were both top 15 recruits at one point before they were both injured. It wasn't shitty play that got them dropped...it was injury.


get that in your thick skulls. A top 20 class as a "backup" plan is fucking awesome. And it should be ranked higher.

Yeah, no, seriously, homeboy is right. Noone is happy about the way it is going.

I am pissed as a motherfucker. I love NC State basketball. I was raised in a Wolfpack household loving NC State basketball. I wish we could be better so very, very, very much. I imagine this is pretty much par for the course.

But I just don't think the problem is going to be solved by firing him, which as you know, would mean we'd lose our recruits and any relationships built for the next few recruiting cycles. I think that in '10 we'll probably end up with a class as good as (and possibly much better than) the current class.

Now, based on how things look next year, I'll figure out how I feel about Sid staying. But I really like CJ Williams. Tracy Smith is a beast. And I like Javi, he's a scrappy motherfucker. Mays has shown flashes. Now we've got three freshmen who can come in and contribute in some capacity. We'll see how it goes. It doesn't sound to me like the greatest formula for success either, but it may be our only option to let us take that slow road back to where we were.

It fucking BLOWS to be bottom 3 in the conference. But firing Sid would only prolong our presence there. With this next years class and maybe the year after it, we could be a competitive team again.

I have no answers as to why Costner and Fells and McCauley didn't produce and we didn't win. I don't know if it's Lowe's fault or not that they didn't seem to progress much as players. I mean, they were great players, 1000 point scorers, but as to why we couldn't gel as a team consistently...Well, it is a coach's job to have his team buy in and play together. I'll concede that Sid might have been able to a better job in that department.

But if we nuke the basketball program again, what the fuck is going to happen? It's only going to get worse. Do you really want to see that?

the best thing we can do is support the team and encourage them to get better. this is a critical time to let them know we're behind them. it makes a difference, trust me. i wouldn't wanna play for this school either the way some of you guys act. the constant bashing of the players and throwing our own guys under the bus will do nothing but make things worse.
