Sleeting in Cornelius. I've been amused watching the percentage estimates on accuweather get more and more realistic. They've been calling for "OMFG AT LEAST 12 INCHES!!!" all week. Accuweather has said <10% chance of less than 8 inches most of the week. It was 30% chance of < 8" earlier this evening. Now it's 60% chance of < 6". Give it another two hours, and it'll be 80% chance of < 4".

I get that predictions of doom and gloom sell ads, but it'd be nice to get a legit forecast for once, instead of constant fear-mongering. Surely somebody could make money by being, you know, accurate.

Got about 7-8" now west of Carrboro. Was just outside and thought it was going to changeover but instead it started snowing a tremendous amount. Still going and piling up. This snow is great for building a snowman with the kids!
