those of you with flashed systems, be prepared to update your firmware in the very near future due to the new games having wave 4. ixtreme 1.5 should work fine, but 1.6 requires a special preboot disk until 1.7 comes out

I never understood why anyone bothered to upgrade to 1.6, the only thing it had over 1.5 was the ability to rip games to the hard drive, which didn't strike me as particularly useful. With what I'm saving on actually buying games I'd be willing to crack my case for a firmware update as often as every 90 days, but I'm giving serious consideration to investing in the Xecuter Blaster 360, elminating the need to open the case anymore to update the firmware. http://www.consolesource.com/ecomm/catalog/Xecuter-Blaster-360-NE-For-Xbox-360-p-2689.html

Have any of you checked out the Indie game Groov? It's like Geometry Wars meets Rez; the shots fired, enemies' deaths, etc. all happen on beat and build up the song as you reach different point totals. Check out the demo. I played for about five minutes before I bought the game, which is a steal at 80 MSP.
