Everything I've read about aptbackup says it's basically a piece of crap that doesn't work right. Essentially it just makes a list of (most of) the programs you've installed from Cydia and tries to install them again after you've upgraded. It doesn't remember settings or customizations or anything useful like that. I suppose it's better than nothing, but I've heard waaaaaay more bad things about it than good. Basically the answer to the question is no, there's no way to backup programs from cydia when you do a restore.

aptbackup worked great for me. all my jailbreak apps were there after i ran restore. I'm not sure what settings you're talking about, but I didn't have themes or anything.

Yeah, I spent about half a day working on the themes for my lockscreen and springboard and aptbackup doesn't touch any of that stuff. I'm not looking forward to redoing that shit again, which is why I'm still on 3.0.

The theme stuff, for the most part, yeah. You still have to remember which ones were active in Winterboard which isn't that hard, I suppose. The apps aren't as easy (which I guess is where aptbackup comes in) because of permission errors and stuff. It's not just as simple as making a backup of an entire directory though.

It mentions FM (76-MHz to 108-MHz), but theres no mention of 802.11n

Seems like it's a iPhone 3g issue. Haven't run into any issues with the 3gs. On a side note navigon is awesome!

haha yeah we were taking off. the cell reception cut out at around 280 mph.



Navigon has all maps on the device so it kept going for a while, but it cut out after bout 300 mph. I don't think the iphone could keep track of the satellites at that speed.

It's ok. They did a great job of making it look and feel (kind of) like RB on a console. It just sucks that the only challenge comes from the 4 buttons you need to hit being so cramped down at the bottom of the screen that anyone with normal-sized fingers can't help but hit the wrong buttons half the time. I guess if they did landscape mode there wouldn't have been as much screen space to give you enough time to see what notes were coming, but I really hope that's an option in the inevitable sequels. Even with the less than perfect controls, I had no problems getting 4-5 stars on all the songs on the drums the first time through. Less than 2 hours of playing to unlock everything there is to unlock (which was only 5 songs, but still) I even bought 2 extra songs, but I feel like $10 should get you a lot more entertainment. Especially on the iPhone, where most games are $1-3.

weird. I thought the controls were perfect and I play with my thumbs. I've had no problems fat fingering anything (Even with tap tap revolution) and my hands/fingers are pretty big.

Also I started playing world tour and I'm only on the 3rd stage but I've already played more than 4-5 different songs and I see there are more to unlock. Not including the freebie I downloaded.

The only disappointment I had was the vocal. Not that I ever do the vocal part but I would have expected it to actually require singing and not more button mashing.

The graphics are awesome and make you feel like you are playing it on the console. Another complaint is having to shake your phone to activate bonus' because its hard to do while tapping accurately. Not sure if I'd say it was worth the $10 but it definitely is fun to play.
