well, at the conclusion of the episode it wasn't clear that any of his superiors had heard about it.

we know his team knew (all his subordinates), and Wilson had found out (his peer) but not Cuddy.

Then again, we can pretty much assume that if she didn't know at that point she would know momentarily. Maybe there will be some fallout from this next time, although I kinda doubt it

the best part was when they were crushed after finding out he was faking it--they worked sooo hard to finally figure out a problem by themselves without House's help. And to do so when it never mattered in the first place...just awesome

Yeah, he knew he didn't have it. It wasn't even his blood that they were testing. If you remember, when they said 'House you don't have cancer" he was like "blah blah well that's good news for so and so (i forget the name of the person whose blood it really was) and hes like why don't you go find them and tell them the good news"

that's why he didn't want them testing the blood in the first place or talking about it. Because he knew he didn't actually have it.

yeah but he actually drew his own blood at the beginning, but then claimed it was a patient's blood. not sure what the reason for that was, unless i guess it was for deniability about whatever that std they found was (forget).

My best guess was so that he can keep up the front. House is pretty good at "living the lie." Knowing his character, he knew that one of his underlings was coming to see him during his clinicals hours for help and catch him in the act of drawing his own blood.
