Falcons D vs Jets

Lets see...

The Giants have the highest scoring offense in the NFC

The Jets have one of the lowest since Pennington got injured

I would go with the Falcons D

Clark for the TE.

The Falcons rush defense has been suspect all year, so look for Curtis Martin to have a good game though they'll be able to move some more people into the box since the passing game isn't doing much.

Another way to look at that D question though is that Dallas held NYG to only 1 TD last week and Denver's D is good at causing turnovers. But at the same time, I think Bailey is still 'Q', and the Giants at home will have more success.

But on the other hand, Atlanta gave up 30 points to the Saints, who 2 weeks ago couldn't muster 10 points against the Packers.

Better D: Denver
Better O: Giants

I'd say go with Atlanta just because the Jets(even if they win) won't score that many. Plus the Giants could pull the upset at home.

I need to choose 2 of the following:

Nate Burleson (vs. Green Bay)
Donte' Stallworth (vs. St. Louis)
T.J. Houshmandzadeh (vs. Pittsburgh)
Antonio Bryant (vs. Detroit)
Travis Taylor (vs. Green Bay)
Lee Evans (vs. Oakland)
Ashley Lelie (vs. New York Giants)

With Bulger out, I have to decide which QB to start: Jamie Martin versus New Orleans, or Josh McCown versus Tennessee (who CBS Sportsline reports will start today). The Rams are without Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce today, but it is the Saints...Jay Davis could throw on them.

Also, given THolt being out, would it be worth it to start Shawn McDonald? Jerry Porter really hasnt done that much for me all year either.

i'm starting porter today bc with moss out he's got to step up

i would pick up jeff garcia as qb since he's starting for detroit before i would play one of the others, i think warner is starting today too if you wanna try him

I have Garcia in another league and I am playing him...hes unavailable in this league. Everything I saw had McCown starting rather than Warner...who knows. Anyhow, Yahoo locked my lineup before 1PM, so Im stuck with what I have now anyhow.

Looks like either Parker or Anderson would have been good choices either way. But yeah Parker with over 130 yards and a TD. And so far Anderson has 80+ yards and a TD.

w3rd

I knew that Parker was due for a breakout game after getting shut down the last few weeks. But I started Anderson because I thought Bettis would hog all the TD's. I should have benched Jamal Lewis.

I dropped Heap for Heath Miller but didn't start him

He's starting next week. Gonzalez is trade bait.

should i trade antowain smith for jerome bettis?

shaun alexander is on a bye this week, so i could start the bus and willie parker (unless cadillac actually palys) and pretty much be guaranteed a TD or two. ray lewis isn't even going to play this week and the ravens suck. plus it's monday night football.

VOLCOM, any of those 3 are really good starts this week.

i picked up Brunell 2 weeks ago when Bulger went down, its been nice ever since!

Brees is going to have a pretty good game aginst the Cheifs this weekend, especially with the little dump passes to LT.

I know it may sound strange, but Leftwich may be the worst play of them all. He seems to play down to his opponents (ring a bell, NC STATE fans?) and doesnt perform well when he has a very favorable matchup.

With that said, I'd go with Brees.

As for you ncWOLFsu, from what i have heard, The Cadillac is going to be running full force against a shitty 49ers Defense. they had the bye week to get healthy ans dhould be ready for action this week. dont go with the steelers split carries, even though it is a MNF game.
If you want to have fun, go with the Steelers, but if you want to win, GO WITH CADILLAC!!

see i know the Leftwich has the possibility but StL's defense is horrid and KC's is not

No, Gonzo had his best game of the year statistically last week and he will be facing a very depleted Chargers secondary who has had major problems stopping tight ends this year.

Keep Gonzo in your lineup

Hmmm.. Idk, I guess I'm leaning toward Toomer at this point, but still would like more opinions. Alternatively, I could bench Cooley, & use Toomer & Gonzales, but Cooley has been better, which is why I have him at TE, Gonzales at flex. IDK.

And I would say go with Brees.

Damn im good Volcom, listen to this

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=fanball-preview-kansdg&prov=fanball&type=lgns

TE Tony Gonzalez 4/5 Stars
Gonzo rebounded in week seven with seven catches for 67 yards and finally appears to be on the same page with Trent Green. The Chargers have ceded eight passing scores on the year and have had trouble handling tight ends. Jeremy Shockey racked up 101 yards on them in week three in SoCal, Heath Miller crossed the stripe in Diego in week five, and L.J. Smith put up six catches 63 yards last Sunday.

and for you.....

QB Drew Brees 4/5 stars
Brees went off for 378 yards and two scores in his only meeting with the Chiefs a year ago, and Kansas City has been similarly ravaged by a Chad Pennington/Jay Fiedler combo (352 and one touchdown), Kerry Collins (263 and one), Donovan McNabb (369 and three), and Mark Brunell (331 and three). Combine that with Drew's track record of scoring strikes at home (22 touchdowns in his last 10 home games) and you've got yourself a solid week-eight play.

how is stephen davis' looking for the rest of the year? I'm in dire need of finding a RB and im going to trade for one. I have stallworth, porter, and housh available...and I could concievably get one of these:
A. Smith
S. Davis
K. Jones
R. Johnson

and if i threw in a bit extra:
D. Davis
W. Parker

which should I go after(who has the best upside this season)

good work panthro

but tony g makes me nervous thats why i would lean towards toomer or pass. however, your argument is valid.

as for phish, do not go with R. Johnson unless you want a guaranteed 65 yards a game and 0 TD's

Hmmmmmmmm, none of those really are eye popping possibilities.

S. Davis has really slowed down, but D. Foster is hurt so his role is safe for now.

Eliminate A. Smith, And Willie Parker from the Mix. Any back that consistently splits almost half of thier carries is not worth giving an arm and a leg for.

Rudi gets good yards, but not alot of TD's. depending on the scoring format, he could be a good pickup.

I'm skeptical of jones because he plays on such a one-dimensional team...new QB, top 3 receivers are hurt/suspended, and the team plays from behind quite often....I'd steer clear of Jones.

Which brings us to the Man who is responsible for about 85% of the offense on his respective team. Again, depending on your scoring format, this should be a no-brainer. Not only does D. Davis run for good yardage, but he is a poor man's LT, doing alot of his damage from dumpoff passes and screens. depending on how many receivers you have available or on your roster, I'd send a good trade proposal to get D. Davis from Houston. You'll never have to worry about his roe in the offense like all of your other choices, thats for sure!

Hope this helps.

I say Brooks......but it could be feast or famine

He's been on fire from a fantasy standpoint as of late, but he does face a tougher D than the Panthers do.

Even with Horn out, Hakim has stepped up and done a fantastic job at receiving. They have been tied or behind in every game this season, forcing Brooks to throw quite a bit.

Delhomme with throw for a TD or two, but they are playing the VIKES, so a big lead will probably be the case in the second half, allowing Carolina to run out the closk with S. Davis.

both will have 1 0r 2 TD passes, but Brooks will have more yards. Throwing and rushing.

I really want to start both Heath Miller and Tony Gonzalez this week, because it looks like each one is gonna have a big game. But since I can only start one, who should it be?

Keep in mind, Heath Miller has been the Steelers leading reciever and scored a TD in each of the past 2 weeks.

a R. Moss @ 75% is better than most at 100% (as seen last week)

as long as he is practicing this week, go w/ Moss. He will torch the Titans terrible secondary.

As for E. Moulds, Its hard to go with any reciever playing against the Pats, and not even b/c the corners are great, they just always run sold schemes that shut down the WR's. Even in the game against SD that they got blown out in, only 1 WR scored 1 TD. No to Moulds.

Hell no to anyone, anywhere, anytime on the Ravens.

Branch is a decent play, typically good for 50-70 and maybe a score.....

but the big money is in Curtis this week. Holt will be out this week and Bruce will remain out as well. Curtis is their #1 receiver this week. Even though they will try to start with the run, and they are playing a tough Jax D, they will have to throw and when they do, Curtis is thier best option.

Moss & Curtis

a guy in my league has only curtis martin, jamal lewis, and ahman green (IR) at RB. I have Antowain Smith, Willie Parker, and Tony Fisher behind Alexander and Cadillac. Do you think I could package one of those guys with a WR like Coles or Jurevicius to trade to him for Ward or Fitzgerald?

I don't want to give up too much, but I'm not too hot at WR behind Chad Johnson. Fitzgerald or Ward could benefit me. Right now I'm in first place in the league at 6-1, with 7 teams in 2nd at 4-3 lol. the other 4 are 3-4 or worse.

i dont recommmend playing Burleson until he proves he is worthy. So far he hasnt done squat and has been injury riddled.

playing vs. Carolina will be tough for him to get off the snide.

as for ^^^, the other player would be foolish to trade fitz at this point, especially for those "RB by default guys you have.

he may consider doing it for Ward, but temper your expectations. Engram (next week) and Jackson (4 weeks) soon come back for Seattle at WR, so Jurevicous will be of no use after that.
