There's only been one movie I've stopped watching, and I think it was called Cliff Hanger. It involved a retarded mountain hiking crew who hiked up Mt Everest, using their ice pick things all the time as they slid down the face and stopped by stabbing it into the snow, and eventually fell into a ravine and were trapped. My family was all 'this is fucking retarded' and turned it off.

I don't know if it was Everest, K2, or Mount Fuji, but that was irrelevant. The movie was retarded.

it sounds like the storyline for vertical limit though, but i can't understand how boring of a person it would take to not enjoy it.

There are a lot but I can't remember the names of them. The only one at the moment that comes to me is Cape Fear.

Yeah it was Vertical Limit, completely asinine shit.

I can't remember exactly what it was that made us turn it off (I think it was really boring too), but this sounds about right:

Quote :
"How can anyone spend so much money and make a picture like this? The effects were good but how many really stupid / bad things can happen in one film or one person's life. If only two of the many, many catastrophes that happened in the movie happened in real life it would be like lightning striking you twice. Everything that the actors did (pretending to be the best of the best climbers) seemed to go against them. Really, do you think a professional climber would leave his back pack where it could slide down the mountain? This is your life we're talking about. How about a nylon climbing rope that snaps two feet above the ground just after stopping a long fall. You can't see anyone's breath and it's cold up there. But the way, there aren't any open flame fires that I know of (unless the fuel contains it's own oxygen) anywhere near that altitude. Or how about a professional climber (who relies on good lungs) that smokes. Really, enough is enough!

"Halfway through the movie, I would start laughing as a new cliffhanger developed. I waited to see how many ludicrous elements the director and writers could pile on (he's hanging from his ice axe over a cliff, the cornice is breaking; now the woman is hanging, and he's hanging off of her; now the nitro explodes; now an avalanche comes). But at the end of each sequence, someone is either saved or dead, and we move on as if nothing happened...."

I mean, I love a good ludicrous movie, "The Marine" with John Cena is fucking amazing for that .

Also, "Godzilla" was completely fucking retarded too. I actually think I've said these two movies many times in this thread...

hmmmm

off the top of my head "Dude, Where's My Car?"

1) It made Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure look like an intellectual romp.

2) I saw it for free and still wanted my money back after it was over.

Maybe it was mentioned already...

I watched Warriors of Virtue on Telemundo about a month ago. Terrible. It's what you get when you combine the kangaroo costumes found in the dumpster of the set of Tank Girl with the writers of captain planet.

Oh, and the "Jackie Chan movie" Fire Dragon. It looked like they spliced him in from other movies and filled the blanks in with Chineese Nazis.

Explain to me how this movie is any different than every other movie made by Adam S?

I though it was funny ScubaSteve, it was just as good as big daddy

I think the difference is Adam Sandler movies have remained relatively the same whereas people have matured a bit over the past 15 years. You still like the old movies out of nostalgia, etc.

That said, I really don't think Big Daddy and Zohan are in the same league.

By far the dumbest movie I've seen yet has to be "Cabin Boy"...ended up with it about 6 or 7 years ago, and took it to Blockbuster when they were giving credit for used movies. They wouldn't even take it.

I was disappointed A couple of years ago she did some movies (Blue Smoke, Montana Sky or something and Angels Fall) and those were so good. I love NR's books but these last set of movies were awful. I DVRed them and just deleted them after watching 10 minutes of it.
