How many offers did Mays have before he committed to us? Who offered him besides us? I know it was early but I'm just wondering who else was really interested in him.

Not sure how many other offers he had, but it says that Indiana, Michigan State and Purdue were interested in him. Makes sense that those schools were interested considering they are the local schools. Glad we could steal him away from Indiana. Now that's a school that I am truly afraid of. If they were ever to get back on top, holy hell, they'd have the pick of the litter from Indiana and the surrounding states. There are places there where they put a basketball in your hands as soon as you can walk. Think about some of the highly touted players to recently have come from Indiana and the surrounding states. Sean May, Greg Oden, LeBron James, etc.

Yea, that Ohio/Indiana/Chicago ILL area is always stocked full of talent. And it goes way back too. I believe our very own Everett Case had a pipeline to Indiana and was very successful because of it.

I'd say that he'll end up fairly highly ranked - def. in the top75, maybe even top40. Lowe and co. had evaluated him and feel he is a great pickup.

So Thomas signs Saturday, Tracy Smith announces Monday and CJ Williams expected to announce in a week or two. We're leading for both....but you never know. Gotta keep fingers crossed. This may be a HUGE upcoming week for Lowe and Co.

LOI = Letter of Intent

All signs point to Tracy Smith announcing he wants to go to NC State on Monday at 2pm. He goes to Mt. Zion which is not an NCAA school right now so even if he wants to go here he might not be able to. His SAT score is suppose to be good enough though.

I think the NCAA doesnt recognize graduates from them sometimes. I dont know what the criteria are, but if his SAT is high enough then it shouldnt matter.
