i mean our record overall is not good...probably about where people expected for a recent expansion team...but we are playing quite well lately...lets see if we can finally get win #4 on monday afternoon

ps: heres what happened to McInnis tonight...regardless if you hate McInnis because he went to UNC, some wild shit happened...even though he played last night in NY, somehow he wasnt on the active roster tonight...he was subbed in at the end of the 1st quarter, found not to be on the active roster, Philly was givin 2 technical foul shots and McInnis was ejected...thats some sloppy front office roster management

it was pretty crazy. he went in and played for a second and then the refs were called over to the scorer's table for several minutes. they announced that he was ejected and the technical was assessed, but it was hard to tell what they said and they didn't mention much, so we were all confused until after the game when someone else told us what had happened.

based on what i saw tonight, adam morrison is going to be the real deal. he is a pure shooter, and he was constantly sprinting around the court looking to get the ball. whenever he touched it, you could just see by his body language that he felt he could shoot it from anywhere, and whoever was defending him knew it. he didn't hit all of them tonight, but he was the only player who seemed to have that attitude.

that carroll kid was pretty good, too. also, brezic's best shot seems to be the mid range jumper. he hit several of those. we didn't really work it down low much at all, and our transition defense was not good either.

and yes, may had a really nice dunk at one point, and felton was solid at point. i was a little worried, though, because the bobcats were up by 17 at one point and then let the 76ers back in it and with only a minute left they took a one point lead after two stupid technical fouls.

all in all, though, a good showing. the whole team is really young players. in a few years hopefully they will be coming into their own. go bobcats (still fuck unc, though )

also about winning games and missing the high picks, I seriously doubt we do that but even if we are at the bottom of the lottery there is still a chance to have one of the top picks (like the Bucks a few years back)

I think the Free Agent activity will be a more important move this year than the draft pick unless its Oden, Durant, or maybe Wright...

If we are back to talking about the draft, I want Durant. 6' 10" SF/3 in the mold of a Kevin Garnett. Kid can really do it all and seems to have a good head on his shoulders too. We could use him, especially if we let Wallace walk. I would love to keep Wallace, but we might not want to fork out the money he is going to want.

went to the game tonight. first one ever. some thoughts --

the good:
1. gotta say that is the most badass arena i've ever seen in my life. everything about it is awesome. I was in the top corner of the arena and still was basically on top of the court

2. the team destroyed the hawks. it wasn't even a contest. okafor, carroll and morrison were good, but damn if Jeff McInnis didn't impress the hell out of me. I wasn't too excited when they traded for him, but the guy was awesome tonight. 17 points on 7-11, 9 assists, no TOs.

3. all the bars are within walking distance of the stadium. niiiice.

the bad:
1. getting food at the arena sucks balls. I went down to concessions during halftime and didn't get back to my seat til nearly the start of the fourth quarter. the popcorn was good as hell though.

2. rufus is straight up a scary looking motherfucker. if i were a kid, id shit myself if he walked up to hug me.


overall it was about an A- experience. did the whole family fun night package, so we basically got 4 tickets, food, and some notsoawesome t-shirts for $60. not bad at all.
