This was written by a Reggina fan elsewhere. I'm just passing this on to demonstrate others' stupidity:

Quote :
"dont you dare blame the fans for this... the problem is CONI, FIGC and above all FIFA.... organisations that are killing football... turning a game of regional pride to a game of business... the murderers are the big wig businessmen... death to the likes of Berlusconi who has been one of the main instigators for the past decade............. we the supporters are being lead astray from the devil businessmen.................... these men in suits never put on a pare of boots, let alone kicked a ball..... what right do they have to be our presidents and head figures!!! bring the game back to the pitch! arrest all the suits for murder, because it is they that have murdered our game and this indevidual police officer!"

^ I watched a re-air last night on FSC. If you didn't watch all of it, the trouble didn't start til the second half. Palermo fans did not enter until the second half and fired off a cannon of 10 or so smoke bombs or something, and made half the field completely covered in smoke. Game was stopped for 40 minutes. Apparently that was when the mass violence between the two ultra groups started and was when the policeman died.

Yeah, I had to go back to work at the end of the first half, so I missed it all. Shit is crazy.

I'm sure they'll have it worked out before play re-starts. Italy is always good for some unneeded drama.

Pretty much the worst ref ever for the Tottenham - Man U game

no call on Henki's foul in the box

phantom foul on Ronaldo for a pk

Yellow on Larsson for... what?

Scholes should probably have a yellow by now but somehow doesn't, meanwhile Vidic gets one on his first tackle, no warning

Holy crap. What a (harmless looking) chip shot that goes in for Bristol.

Now don't collapse and give up a goal before it goes to penalties.

Holy schnike.

Although I'm not sure Ronaldinho is the type of player who would be well-suited to the English game. He's used to time (and therefore space) to work with, and the only place you get that in England is occasionally deep on the wings. Arsenal succeeded with the short-n-flat passing game for a few years because everyone from the holding midfielder up was great at it and the Highbury pitch was groomed for it, but I'm not sure United have enough of that kind of first touch player to succeed with that sort of game.

It won't happen. Ronnie's not leaving Man U. No way SAF would sell him.

ever??

maybe not this year, but I got a feeling Ronaldo's going to get tired of being hated on every city he goes to in England and will want to play for Real

Plus, juking a Spanish dude he hates during every game has got to be a lot sweet than embarrassing Phil Neville off the dribble AGAIN.

I don't think ever. He's the new face of Man U.

^ That's fair enough, but what about him vs Ashley Cole? I doubt you'll find a better left back in Spain.

What I've learned today:

1. Fulham is strong.

2. Wes Brown is not cut out for first team play at Man U anymore

3. The Chinese are some drinkin-ass motherfuckers

4. Christiano Ronaldo and Ryan Giggs are the best two wingers in the game.

Yeah, they were lucky as hell. I watched it on NyM's live footy thing. Fulham dominated long stretches of the game, and Man U's back 4 were a fucking mess. Neville didn't even make the bench, but SAF says it was because he misread Fulham's roster. There's rumours there was a bust-up between the two after the Lille game.
