Not too many games out right now. Not too may people have one. The hot stuff will be in around March time I think.

But you're right, no one wants one. That's why they are still going for close to $1000 on Ebay and stores don't have them in for more than 15 minutes when a new shipment comes in every week.

i think 1 leads to 2 there, dont you? 1 is only caused by there being an extreme supply problem. turd sandwiches would probably sell out in those quantities.

nobody meant more people want 360s/wii's more than ps3...

seriously, given the state of the games and the new system, why the hell would you pick one up right now? they arent going for $1000 anymore on ebay...

im not saying i wont ever get one, but ill only get one later on down the road when they have sick games that arent on 360 at the same time.

Well that's good, its probably not that worth it right now to get one, unless you don't have a next-gen system and really want to play some HD games. I defintely could have waited and would have been fine, but I'm having fun with Resistence right now and kindof having fun with Madden (EA Sports really sucks now). But yeah, I'd wait until around March time when the real hot stuff starts rolling in.

Sony better get their ass in gear on production or their going to lose third party support. I mean honestly, will a developer want to spent money on a game where theres less than 500k consoles? Compared to Xbox's 8 Million or Wii's 2 million.

Most of the stores I went to said they would be selling a sizable shipment of Wiis and ps3s on Sunday, Dec 17th. Hello cluster fuck.

the trick is to go to a smaller, poorer town. you'll easily find one at their walmart.

"Sony ‘overreached’ including Blu-ray in PS3
Posted 11/6/06 at 4:16pm by Alexander DuPont
From Eurogamer: “Sony’s Phil Harrison has admitted that the company “overreached” with its decision to include a Blu-ray drive in PlayStation 3.

Referring to the shortages of blue diodes that forced Sony to postpone the console’s European launch until March, Harrison told Eurogamer’s Rob Fahey, “we have overreached in production of the Blu-Ray component - I can’t deny that”.

“But that’s the price you pay for adopting brand new, leading-edge technologies that will be future proof. We will resolve those issues - we are already catching up.”

“We will continue to catch up on the production, and as you know, we haven’t changed our full-year forecast of six million units [by March 2007], so we’re only talking about a ramp-up issue. We’re not talking about the fundamental design of the product itself,” he added.”"
