Well...hell of a run. Shoulda, coulda, woulda...but what can you do? Indians just won it.

I'm disappointed as hell, but ya know, if you told me back in May/early June the Yanks would make the playoffs when we're sitting eight games under .500, 14 games back in the East and nine games back in the Wild Card, I probably would have just laughed at you.

That was a hell of a comeback over the second half of the season -- catching Seattle and Detroit for the WC and getting it down to 1.5 in the East.

Would not have happened without A-Rod, so I hope he stays. I hope to God Cashman and the rest of the guys in the office convince Georgie to back down and see the HUGE strides the club made in terms of getting young guys ready, which hasn't really happened much over the past eight years.

Start NOW on getting Posada and Mo to come back. Pay A-Rod whatever it takes. The man's the best there is in the game today.

I HOPE Torre is back. After all he's done, if he wants to come back, let him come back. But I know the Boss doesn't always (ever?) work that way.

If it's not Torre, it's probably either Girardi or Mattingly. We'll see how it goes.

so you think the bosox would rather see a pretty rested clevland team or a beat up yankees team?

nyy can't pitch this year.... they hit there way into the wc and didn't do much in their 4 game post season....

As a Red Sox fan I didn't want to face the Yankees. In those series the Sox don't fair well at all. The Yanks may have been beaten up but their pitchers would have been stellar against us. The Indians provide a tough road but a better matchup. The Yankees took 5 of the last 6 vs. the Sox also.
