you didn't have black bars on the left and right of your screen? Were you playing in widescreen or standard screen?

I played co-op split screen and it does have black bars on the sides. I think maybe they did that on purpose because the viewing angle would be too wide. So they scaled things down to maintain the same viewing angle/ratio (16x9). Thats just my 2 cents. IT didn't bother me at all, I actually liked it better this way then games that stretch things out soo wide.

I played co-op split screen in campaign with just the regular edition and it was 16:9 not 4:3. Are you sure your TV settings are right?

Split screen on a widescreen needs to be side by side rather than top and bottom, then you wouldn't have to worry about that crap.

I had no problems playing 2 player, split screen co-op on a 42" plasma (widescreen obviously).

there were no black bars on the sides, and we did nothing to adjust anything, just popped it in and played.

(it is annoying as hell tho when they shrink the screen vertically during the beginning and end of missions and you cant hardly see

Played 4 player split screen on a 50 inch plasma widescreen last night and it looked perfect.

Not sure about any of the specs...was my old roommates tv (why couldn't he have bought it a year earlier??)

thats what they said, they werent stretching the 16:9 format to be even wider

this whole special edition to get widescreen is not true

the black bars are part of the game when its split 2 players, when you do 4 players its fine

^^I had that problem last night but with Sniper Shotty. EVERY round was sniper shotty! We ended up just making a custom game and playing just the 3 of us on Slayer.

i need ppl to play with. playing online without ppl you knwo gets old. i loved cod3, but i only knew 1-2 ppl that played and it had no way to stick together for ranked matches. i hope most of you will be playing so i can have consistent fun (even if im 10x worse or better than certain ppl).

I'll be on sometime tonight... love playing forge mode I want to start trying to actuall yplay it with each team having a monitor/person editing the game and then 2 or 3 other guys per team just doing slayer with the monitor helping them out.

anyone else have the problem of getting the same "random" maps when doing MP online slayer? Last night i swear everytime was either the level that is really similar to Lockout but with vegetation or the snow level.

it was a great addition being able to Veto a map, but it only gives the group 1 veto before it makes you play the next map. What if all of you dont want those 2 maps but any other map will do??
