CapnObvious, I think you are right. Usually I fire up the online play and just select a random map and it takes a pretty long time to find anyone. I manually selected Final D as my first map and it found 4 people within 1 minute. Of course on any flat stage like Final D or Bridge of Eldin, Ike is almost unstoppable.

I am still aggravated though, as I have tried for the past four days to get a decent online match going on. I tried setting the level to Final Destination each time, but it still took 5 minutes to find people, then when the match started it wouldn't even go for .5 seconds before it started lagging up. It is so frustrating when I can't even quit the game because it moves (and registers buttons) 1 frame every 2 minutes.

I'm not super good with olimar or anything, but I usually run around and try and keep my distance, use over+b throw to get pikmin on some one and if there is an opening a smash to do major damage or retreat to pick more pikmin for any they kill. The pikmin chain is another deadly move if it can be pulled off.

It also helps to know what pikmin you have lined up, you can toss the white ones much farther then the others so i try and use them with over+b and stay far away, try and hold a purple for smashes pretty sure they do the most damage/knockback.

You are fast and small enough to avoid alot of attacks and probably the most annoying character in the game.

however Luigi is the man. hands down. his taunts...hilarious. utterly hilarious.

^depends, sometimes there is no lag, ive had it where the game lagged behind my button presses at least a second. And I only see lag on random matches, not friend matches
