i don't know about that. they've got guys that run, and we can keep up. that's how we did it last year. Roy is no brilliant strategist. Lowe's been experimenting a lot recently. we will, as always, play to our level of competition.

As of this point he's hanging on to two fucking things and that's a win over UNC and a three game win streak last March.

Other than that he's put up rather poor results in the other ~50 games. It's time to see some performance.

He is going to HAVE to make the NCAA tournament this season, period. And even that is a questionable demonstration of credibility given our talent level.

We are fucking terrible. Part of it shitty point guard play, and there isn't a whole lot we can do about that. But there is no excuse for a 17 point half against 1-18 team. Fucking pathetic.

Last year the cupboard was COMPLETELY dry. So I don't fault him for last year's poor performance.


But his players from last year, IE McCauley and Costner have played horribly.


But it's his second year. He's recruiting and doing well.

I support Lowe... But next year a loss like ECU or UNO will be UNFORGIVEABLE

He's recruiting ok.. not great.

For comparisons sake our class was #11 in 2005 and was shaping up to be pretty decent in 2006 before the defections (though I don't blame Sid for that at all)... Our 2007 class was Top 20 barely but that is with a likely one and done (though personally I feel Hickson needs to stay longer... much longer) and we lost what would have been our most important commit in that class for program longevity, Christ Wright . The 2008 class isn't highly ranked at all by most scouting services; in fact Rivals has us as the 10th best in the ACC only ahead of crappy Gary Williams' Maryland and non-bball power Va Tech.

I'm not ready to run the guy out of town by any stretch, but some of the offers we gave to players don't excite me too much considering what was on the table...

I think everyone can agree that we have talent on this team and after 13 games we still haven't put together 2 halves of good basketball. And we've lost to 2 cupcakes that we should have destroyed.

Every game I'm waiting for this team to come together and make a statement. Let's hope the UNC game is that game.

The '08 class was assembled before we had any of the late-season hype. From that perspective, it's not bad--they went after some under-the-radar guys, starting late, and got them. Making an inroad into Indiana is a good start, as is recruiting in NC.

It's the '09 class that worries me. I wonder how much of an effect the shitty play so far this season is going to have.
