i've heard that there are LOTS of problems for ncaa football 09. i think with gameplay, many ppl are waiting for the release of Madden 09. what are some of the major gameplay flaws of ncaa thus far?
i noticed it's impossible to blitz and put pressure on the QB. blitzing is nearly worthless in ncaa it seems. passing seems a bit easy as well as the D usually sucks ass. would sliders fix this? 7/26/2008 11:09:57 AM |

so if someone wants to take the initiative and fix all the errors on our current roster and then upload it, that'd be awesome...not so much concerned with the height/weights as i am with the correct numbers and position switches...i might, but right now don't have the time. First I'd get EArosters com (i think that's the xbl id) and then apply these...
Quote : | "With the opener at South Carolina just weeks away, N.C. State has released an updated roster and there are several notable changes.
# At Monday's press conference, N.C. State head coach Tom O'Brien stated that William Beasley, Tobais Palmer, and Marty Everett will not enroll this fall as they didn't qualify for admission. The three incoming freshmen were listed on the roster in the media guide, but obviously won't be on the team.
Two other Wolfpack signees, Roy Mangram and Thomas Locust, were not listed on the roster. Mangram will head to Georgia Military College, a decision he made prior to signing with N.C. State, and the future destination of Locust, a defensive tackle out of Cerritos (CA) College, is unknown. Coaches at Cerritos informed Pack Pride that Locust not enrolling at N.C. State wasn't due to academics.
# Here are the scholarship newcomers listed in the media guide (slated to enroll) and the numbers assigned to them: 72 Zach Allen, 9 Brandon Barnes, 95 LeRoy Burgess, 87 Mario Carter, 25 Akeem Cunningham, 8 Mike Glennon, 6 T.J. Graham, 31 Gary Grant, 48 Colby Jackson, 19 Clem Johnson, 66 Sam Jones, 7 Sterling Lucas, 35 Terrell Manning, 79 R.J. Mattes, 98 Shea McKeen, 64 Andrew Wallace, 46 C.J. Wilson, and 27 Earl Wolff.
# Although he is listed in the media guide, freshman center Ahmad Jaradat is no longer with the team as he returned to Canada where he will transfer to a local school.
# Defensive end Audi Augustin is up three pounds to 6'2 and 253 pounds. He is the backup at left defensive end.
# Sophomore linebacker Thomas Barnes is currently listed at 5'11 and 225 pounds. The Dublin, Georgia native enrolled at NC State last fall as a 5'11, 200-pound freshman. The additional 25 pounds could help Barnes on obvious rushing downs.
# Redshirt junior center Andy Barbee is up seven pounds to 6'3 and 310 pounds. Barbee is second-team center on the latest depth chart.
# Quarterback Harrison Beck is up seven pounds to 6'2 and 220 pounds.
# Left guard John Bedics is up 12 pounds to 6'4 and 295 pounds. Bedics has also changed numbers from #93 to #75. The redshirt senior moved from defensive tackle during spring practice and is currently the starter at left guard.
# Redshirt freshman tight end George Bryan is listed 15 pounds heavier at 6'5 and 265 pounds. Bryan had a strong spring and will compete for playing time behind Anthony Hill and Matt Kushner.
# Quarterback Justin Burke has added 10 pounds, as the redshirt sophomore now checks in at 6'3 and 220 pounds.
# Redshirt freshman safety Justin Byers is up 15 pounds as he is now listed at 6'0 and 185 pounds. Byers begins preseason practice a the starter at free safety.
# Linebacker Audie Cole is up 14 pounds as he is now listed at 6'5 and 229 pounds. Cole had a productive spring and the athletic redshirt freshman is the backup at strongside linebacker.
# Right guard Curtis Crouch has dropped 15 pounds. The senior checks in at 6'5 and 320 pounds on the latest roster.
Thomas Barnes
# Placekicker Josh Czajkowski has added six pounds and measures in at 5'9 and 184 pounds. The redshirt sophomore is NC State's starting placekicker.
# Freshman cornerback Dominique Ellis is up nine pounds to 5'11 and 190 pounds. Just a freshman, Ellis will compete for playing time in 2008 as he is backing up senior Jeremy Gray.
# Graduate quarterback Daniel Evans is listed at 6'2 and 200 pounds, up nine pounds from the start of the 2007 season. Evans heads into fall practice as the No. 1 quarterback on the depth chart.
# Redshirt junior cornerback Koyal George is six pounds heavier at 5'11 and 175 pounds. George switched from wide receiver to cornerback in the spring.
# Graduate cornerback Jeremy Gray is up two pounds, as he is now listed at 6'2 and 188 pounds. Gray is one of the tallest cornerbacks in the ACC.
# Senior right tackle Meares Green is listed at 6'4 and 306 pounds, up 11 pounds from the start of the 2007 season. The former walk-on started four games as a sophomore before starting all 11 games in 2007 that he played in.
# Senior Anthony Hill is listed at 6'6 and 265 pounds. At the conclusion of his junior year, Hill checked in at 275 pounds. 10 pounds lighter, he's back as the Wolfpack's starter at tight end.
# Redshirt freshman wideout Steven Howard is five pounds heavier, measuring in at 6'2 and 190 pounds.
# Redshirt sophomore linebacker Nate Irving is listed two pounds lighter at 6'1 and 225 pounds. Irving came on strong over the final six games of 2007. Including four starts, he tallied 38 tackles and five tackles for a loss. He ended the year totaling 52 tackles and seven tackles for a loss, finishing seventh and third respectively on the team in those two categories.
# Redshirt junior wide receiver Geron James has packed 20 pounds on to his frame, as he now checks in at 6'3 and 220 pounds. James is back with the Wolfpack after re-enrolling at NC State in January.
# Sophomore defensive end Markus Kuhn is up five pounds to 280 pounds. He's also listed an inch shorter at 6'4 and switched numbers from #62 to #91. #91 was previously worn by Ted Larsen.
# Redshirt junior tight end Matt Kushner has added six pounds and is up to 6'4 and 265 pounds. Kushner is No. 2 on the depth chart at tight end.
# Redshirt freshman center Henry Lawson is up four pounds to 6'3 and 289 pounds.
Julian Williams
# Center Ted Larsen is 10 pounds heavier, checking in at 6'2 and 295 pounds. Larsen also switched numbers from #91 to #58. Larsen moved from defensive tackle to center during spring practice.
# Senior linebacker Robbie Leonard is up nine pounds to 6'0 and 205 pounds. Leonard is listed as the starter at strongside linebacker.
# Freshman linebacker Dwayne Maddox is up five pounds to 6'2 and 225 pounds. Maddox is now listed as the backup middle linebacker and is expected to play a lot as a true freshman.
# Redshirt sophomore cornerback DeAndre Morgan is four pounds heavier, checking in at 5'10 and 170 pounds. Morgan is listed as the starter at left cornerback.
# Redshirt freshman safety Jimmaul Simmons is five pounds heavier and an inch taller, as he now measures in at 6'2 and 200 pounds. Simmons is the reserve at free safety for the Wolfpack.
# Redshirt freshman J.R. Sweezy is up 10 pounds to 6'5 and 255 pounds. Sweezy had been listed as a midde linebacker during spring practice but is now listed as a defensive end.
# Sophomore tailback Curtis Underwood is five pounds lighter, checking in at 5'11 and 210 pounds.
# Sophomore Jake Vermiglio checks in at 6'5 and 315 pounds. Prior to his freshman season, the left guard was listed at 6'4 and 297 pounds, as he has added an inch and 18 pounds.
Willie Young
# Like Vermiglio, redshirt sophomore safety Javon Walker has added weight. Walker is listed at 6'0 and 197 pounds after starting 2007 at 188 pounds. The extra nine pounds could prove beneficial for the run-stuffing strong safety.
# Walk-on tight end Eric Weaver has changed numbers from #91 to #90. Weaver is also 20 pounds heavier, as his 6'7 frame now carries 235 pounds.
# Senior walk-on offensive tackle Matt White has dropped a lot of weight. The Camden, North Carolina native is listed at 6'6 and 325 pounds, down 35 pounds from last year.
# Redshirt junior left tackle Julian Williams now measures in at 6'5 and 305 pounds, up 13 pounds from a year ago. Williams enters his second season as the Wolfpack's starter at left tackle.
# Redshirt senior defensive tackle Keith Willis is up six pounds to 6'1 and 284 pounds. Willis sit out the 2007 season after transferring from Boston College and is expected to contribute at defensive tackle.
# Redshirt junior defensive end Willie Young may have lost an inch, checking in at 6'4, but he's added 13 pounds and now weighs 243 pounds. Young could be one of the top defensive ends in the Atlantic Coast Conference in 2008." |

Umm, roster bug?
You do know if you edit the rosters your game will start crashing?
It's going to be fixed in a patch coming out in a week or two.
Also, Beasley is qualified now. It was a mix-up with his transcript.

Editing 1 team isn't going to make it crash. Forgot how many teams they determined you had to edit first for the corrupt ones from FK and pasta padre to crash. I've edited a couple teams using the one from EAroster on the 360 and haven't had any problems. There's a chance that it may not work with the patch though.

EA has put the EA Locker in NCAA 09. This allows you to download a roster from anyone who has it by just entering their gamertag. you have to have xbox live though. just go to Xbox live on the ncaa 09 main menu and select EA Locker. The rest is pretty much self explanatory. 8/6/2008 11:57:04 AM |

Quote : | " i still can't do anything to help my problem with diffculty. after the patch I tried to use sliders to make freshman harder. Didn't accomplish anything. i was up 70 to 3 in the beginning of the 4th quarter with the CPU AI set to 100 on both offense and defense! WTF? This game is absolute garbage in the area of sliders! EA needs to fire Tiburon and get a new team. Can they take over take 2K please! at least they can make a decent football game. did they just forget how to program since last gen? totally dissappointed by this year's effort. i'm praying that madden is better than this disaster.
Don't we all love the exclusive sports era. 2k is ruining baseball and EA is ruining football. at least basketball and hockey were smart enough not to go exclusive." |
